Anime you wish would die.

Is it just me, or does anybody else think certain anime franchises, groups, fandoms, shows, etc. should die because the companies that make some animes are milking them for all their worth a little too much year after year after year after year, etc., etc.

I would love to see the following just stop completely. 
* Pokemon
* Digimon/Monster Rancher
* Yu-Gi-Oh
* Dragonball Z

They wouldn't be making these shows/games/etc... if people didn't watch/play/etc... them.

Some people still like them. It's like, some people like the Star Wars prequels. If there is a market for these franchises, then why should they stop?

Pokemon Should die because Ash will never grow up to become Red.

The big three will be winding down soon I wonder what new series will takeover.

One Piece - 500 episodes are 344 too many. There a rule that  at TV exec made: no show should last more than six seasons.
Hetalia - I may do World Series but after a while it getting old

DragonBall Z. I've had a friend who has been so focused on it and thinks that it's the ONLY thing in the world.... To be honest, I USED to like the show, until I found other various anime series that I found fit my preferences better. After seeing ONLY ONE EPISODE.

Although I had no idea they were still pumping out Yu-Gi-Oh and Digimon... I thought they died out. I still have aout 16 tins of Yu-Gi-Oh cards (Hated the anime, but I did enjoy the game), but last I saw of Digimon was a few rather... shady drawings of Renamon.

Too many shows out live their natural conclusion, dragging on by dragging out the story and useing ideas and and concepts that would normaly be considered below standards.

I'm going to have to say Yu-Gi-Oh. It was my first anime as a child and was once my favorite show. but now I see on TV that their coming out with a "newer" version that I think looks horrid. Some shows are just supposed to end, it helps make each generations childhood unique. (Honestly I just think TV/Movie writers are getting lazy, all I ever see now days are 100s of remakes)

I think the pokemon anime should have died years ago. Not the games, I still play those, just the anime. It's been recycling plots since I don't know when. Or if they don't want to end it, just change it drastically, get some better writers and a new protagonist.

naruto. it is stretched out way to far in trying to connect like... EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER.

metaphor time! lets say that portable outlets are characters, and the wires and extension cords are the story arcs. At first the connections all seem to fit nice and it looks nice and clean. After they connected more wires over time it turned into a giant mess of tangled cords!

One Piece: Good god this just needs to be over, I enjoy the show but it's getting old.
Pokemon: Every season is the same just with new pokemon.

I would say Naruto but afaik it's almost over. Bleach is over too.

Some shows like Katekyō Hitman Reborn! and Gintama that haven't made their appearance in the US yet hopefully don't. They are like 300+ Episodes currently.

This is why I watch NORMAL (Anime=Normal? lol) anime. A good 12-24 episode story is great. All these long running shows are just boring after awhile.

Yes, because we are ninja! We totally run around in NEON ORANGE jumpsuits, and none of us actually do anything normal, were all overly dramatic, or emotionless robots. And use actual ninja weapons? I think that pokemon should have changed main characters every region, but that the older character would show up every now and then... and what level is pikachu now, 250 or so!?  and why has it not evolved yet!?

I'd like to add an anime to the list of animes I wish would die. It's not that it's an ongoing anime or has a million episodes, in fact it's a pretty good anime but an ex-friend ruined the anime for me with her creepy obsession with one of the characters (to the point that you could probably call it a 2D complex) ... The anime is Burst Angle, loved it at first ... Hate it now v.v
