Furtopia has been going on strong for over 10 years now...but what about the next 10? 20? 30? What is the Furtopia of the future going to be like? Will Furtopia become more than just a forum? Are we going to have virtual reality gear that would allow us to jack in as our furry characters? Or is it going to be just like it is today, a nice, warm, and comfy place to sit back, relax, fur it up, and post some GIFs? What do you envision for your favorite furry community on the Internet?

Keep in mind that this is a futurist-like thread. Therefore, anything goes, just like on those Discovery shows where they talk about life in the year 2054 or whatever. It's just your ideas...the question is, what are they? ((also keep in mind that any ideas here are just for the sake of imaginative fun))

To start, if Furtopia were ever featured in a Hollywood movie, the interface would probably look something like this:

Because everyone knows progressive interface design is about making it look as cool and futuristic as possible.

Whatever happens in 5, 10, 20, etc. years will depend on:

* Technology (Hardware and Software)
* Affordability (WS is the one paying for Furtopia)
* What do members want?
* Demographics of the Internet
* Changes in staffing, rules, forum layout, etc.
* Biggest thing is: What does WhiteShepherd and Kada-Ru want? They own and pay for and maintain the site. What direction do they want to take the site in?

You are being boring and realistic. Just imagine, perhaps not in the context of Furtopia, but an inspiration of Furtopia. What would be an awesome furry Internet site, or perhaps even more than an Internet site? What is your vision of a Furtopia?

Actually Kobuk you are wrong, what you are specifying is feasibility
and you can't check the feasibility of something without an Idea or R&D to run it against.

I think the ultimate goal is reaching out, cause i think that is the symbolism of Furtopia. It's a Haven...It would be lovely to have a HQ that was designed like Final Fantasy VIII

I would imagine more color and tabs to be more neat. RP Thread with a medieval, fighting, etc etc thread so they can each be filled with the proper rp instead of a jumble mess of 100's of rps that die faster then braincells watching epic sax guy and nyan cat mixed for ten hours can. This way they are more in a neat form as well put a limit on how many can be made within each one by each user.

Stories be separated by adult with sub categories, short stories, etc

I say it needs more hexagons. Hexagons are the future. Anybody notice how the newer things get, more hexagons appear on those things?

Oh you're right! Furtopia does need more hexagons, because hexagons are the future.

We need to develop a futuristic hexagon user interface. Boxes must all be switched to hexagons. In fact, everything about Furtopia in the future must be based or inspired from the hexagon.

Hexagons are futuristic after all.

It's another plus of Furtopia's near-black interface. Pixels don't have to be lit up, so therefore you are saving energy.
