Stephen Hawking dies
« on: March 14, 2018, 06:32:53 am »
Brilliant scientist Stephen Hawking has died, age 76.

Diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease at 22, Hawking was given two years to live. He was eventually left paralysed in a wheelchair and able to speak only though a speech generating device attached to a cheek muscle. He passed away peacefully in his sleep

Hawking was one of the most famous geniuses of modern times. His work changed our understanding of science and the way the universe works. He published many books about the nature of the universe, including the famous "A Brief History of Time", which has sold more than 10 million copies, and has been portrayed in a film about his life in 2014.

He was an amazing man, and will be missed.

Yes Dr Hawkins greatly increased our knowledge of the universe and
black holes. He discovered that black holes actually evaporate over
time through what was named Hawkins Radiation.

He will always be remembered as a great scientist, and will be missed
by the scientific community and those of us who have an interest in the
world around us. He also helped many understand how the universe
and time works with his books. He also showed us all that even with
a serious handicap many can still make a contribution to society.

Rest in peace sir, we will miss you.

After my father was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, he believed be would not make it.  I then told him about a brilliant man named Steven Hawking who had a neuromuscular disease.  What Mr. Hawking went through and achieved gave my father courage and inspiration.
We all are truly blessed to have lived in a time with such a genius shaping our world.  So many would have loved to have met him, we all lost a great friend.
