Title: Actionscript Communications
Post by: Yip on April 26, 2007, 02:51:41 am
I've been trying to figure out how to make an actionscript communicate with a server and/or with another computer. I know it can do some of that, and I know the help files talk about it, but I can't find anything in there that talks about the basics of setting up such things.

What I'd like to be able to do evenually, is be able to make actionscript games that can have multiple players (on different computers) or possibly have a server that holds most of the game data to be loaded as needed.  However, I'm not sure how to even begin.

If anyone can point me to a good online tutorial or maybe tell me what to look for in the help files, it would be much appreciated.

Actually, I'm about to mess with something very similar to what you're talking about.  When I get to crackin' it open, I'll point you to some sources.
