Title: Furry related things while sleeping?
Post by: DarkMynx on July 14, 2013, 07:25:54 pm
Well people may find this unusual but I've been told I actually whimper while I sleep...I don't know why but it's been going on for years. It does really bother me because my fursona is a canine and most dogs whimper or bark sometimes when they sleep anyway, my dogs do :P

I'm sleeping round my boyfriends for the first time hopefully in a few weeks and I'm kinda worried because I might make noises in my sleep and I don't know how he'll think about that xD

Does anyone else do anything furry related when they sleep? Surely I'm not the only one :c

I whine and warble also, and during thunderstorms I freeze up and shake uncontrollably, just like a dog. Luckily my mate is also dog-like in regards to sleep--he will also whine and twitch. When I scratch behind his ear his leg will twitch just as a dog's does too!  :P  :)

My mate finds my sleep noises cute.  :-[ I hope you get just as lucky when you're around your bf!  :)

I no longer sleep curled up, I stopped that when I was about 12 and got a bigger bed.  I still make my bed in more of a 'nest' than any sort of recognizable formal bed.

I curl up into a ball like shape but I'm not aware of any noises I may or may not make.

I've had a few digs in the ribs on camps because people in the barracks say I grumble and growl while sleeping, Although if they were that tired then they would get to sleep anyway  :D

I sometimes fall asleep with my chew toy still in my mouth. :-[ I've been told I also whine in my sleep. (: I remember I once was on the phone with my mate and I fell asleep before hanging up. He texted me the next morning saying "Did you know you howl in your sleep?" :-[

I don't really do anything in my sleep actually.  :(

But I do dream about anthros, if that counts for anything

I curl up like just my dogs, i don't know its pretty natural for me.
I tend to drool (weird right?) while asleep.

I tend to curl up in a ball when I sleep. I also usually have my dogs on the bed as well plus a plushie dog under my arm. Lotta dogs in my bed at night. Yep. Bed space is an issue. They tend to get most of it.

I tend to twitch like I'm trying to move if I'm having trouble sleeping, but I'm also a extremely restless sleeper.

I love thunderstorms rain and darkness :D Where I live there is so much damn light pollution. I can't wait till the next power failure occurs at night. A Couple of street lights and the glow from a Safeway parking shine through my window even with my blind closed and it lights up my room.

I don't get why towns have street lights in residential areas! It won't stop crime ^.^ Just use infrared cameras if they are worried about crime. Street lights are a waste of power and cause light pollution! It also makes me sad :(

same ^^ i love thunderstorms, rain, and darkness. there isn't too much light in my area all i have are the street lights...

also the reason for street lights are not to stop crime but to allow people to see. it's hard to drive with only your head lights because you can only see in front and a little to your side. also for those people who might need to get up early they need to know where there car is in there drive way... also there are more things that are a was of power than street lights... and you can simply fix that with solar panels if people were less greedy and would do that to help the environment...

I pull all my blankets over myself (and I have a lot of blankets) And make a den of sorts. I'm actually quite worried about sleeping with others, just because I can't stand the traditional way of sleeping.

I always bury myself in a pile of blankets, and have a nice little semicircle of pillows around my head and upper body. It's a nice little nest.

I've taken to sleeping atop the blanket, even in Winter. I think I run in my sleep and kick the covers off.

No matter how well I make my bed, I always end up waking up in a den made of every sheet, blanket, and pillow I have. That's assuming I even decide to sleep on my bed (I prefer to sleep on or near a vent).

That being said, I apparently whine when sleeping (And ussually swear and murmer, which is decidedly less animalistic).

Ah, crap >.<' I already posted in this thread.

Lately I have been covering myself fully in my blankets, (maybe just leaving a little hole for air) it makes me feel much cozier and safer! Almost like a cave. :)

And this isn't really sleeping, but i'm pretty much literally nocturnal... (Until I become old enough to get a job... >:( ) We have friends that are really early risers, and when they came for a sleepover once I went to bed when one of them was already awake... x_x

I surround myself with a blanket, back to the wall, move around a lot and wake up to my heater (its really quiet though). Also, I mumble some weird things at night. Like my bro was on his laptop when my hand went up and I repeatedly said, "pass pass pass pass," weird dreams have been going on too, like I'm an actual Pokémon and yeah (I always die somehow in my dreams)

I sometimes "paw" in my sleep.  I'll dream I have dog legs and as I'm waking up I'll be pawing at the air. Kind of afraid I'll do it when I'm sleeping with my mate next time xD

My bed is basically a nest of blankets and plushies in my closet. And by "basically" I mean "exactly". And, I don't know if this counts, but when I wake up I often make little squeaky/mumbly noises and stretch like a cat does.

Err... there are anthro representations of some things that appear regularly in my dreams, and sometimes these representations are the forms show. I guess that counts.

Besides that, I don't know, I was asleep at the time and so on.

Nothing really that furry, though I do often end up building a bit of a nest. And sometimes I sleep outside, just 'cuz I like it that way. (Well, I don't like seeing all the light pollution around here, but eh, whatever)

Once when i woke up I was in the middle of making a squeaky sound (like angel dragons do) and realised that my fursona should be an angel dragon.

I too like to sleep in a ball or in a mass of blankets (that's the best.). I grumble and make other noises when i sleep. I also like to sleep cuddling something, usually a pillow but sometimes its something else.

i've had them a few times before

they are starting to appear more often in the last few months

dreamt i had a partial (couldnt see that much)
it was all so wierd but when i took it off it wasnt my sona
it was a fursuit partial that had been stolen weeks before

I've noticed over the past few weeks that I curl up into a ball and my dog sleeps either on me, right next to me or somewhere very close to me. It is like a sleep pile. I also shake the water off of me when I get out of the shower. And I sometimes dream of wolves, foxes, deer, etc.

When I'm awake, I sometimes make little noises when I'm content or distressed (they are similar but different). So I imagine I do so while I sleep also.

I curl up in a ball when I sleep or stretch out with my legs and arms in front of me XD To my knowledge, I don't make any proper noises in my sleep (though sometimes, like most, I mutter or whatever) although I did go through a period were I would periodically stop breathing while sleeping (a trip to the vet was in order, lol!)
Though if I hurt myself (like if I trip up or whatever on a wet floor, which happens maybe a little too often :P) I do whimper- if I'm annoyed I'll growl or do that groan-y kind of noise that dogs make :P
I also have bitten in play-fights with my brother too lol nothing sexy like; just a bit of fun :O

Since Im a furry and looking at what some of you other peoples do while sleeping I'm kind of worried about embarrassing myself. Because I have no clue about anything that I do while sleeping.  >:( also what's strange is either I don't dream at all or I just don't remember them. It makes my sleep so boring.

But I do remember an awesome night when I had a really awesome realistic dream that I became my fursona. :D

I sleep much, much better if I feel like I'm in a burrow. I like surrounding myself with pillows and blankets and placing myself exactly in the middle of it all. I also always loved taking the bottom bunk of the bunk bed my sister and I had as kids, cuz it felt like an enclosed little space (like.. a burrow). I used to hang up blankets so it'd be closed of, save for a tiny corner lifted up.

I also tend to stretch like a cat when I wake up (leaning forward and extending my fingers as if I had claws). That has absolutely nothing to do with my actual fursona, but I still do it.

I don't think I do any furry-related things while sleeping, but I recently had furry-related dream. It involved a cell phone-based alert network for earthquakes or other disasters where all the members of the network were exclusively furry. Non-furs were astonished at how well the network functioned but couldn't join it.

I almost curl up into a ball under the sheets in my bed, surrounded and covered in blankets. I also tend to snore, talk in my sleep, I've even surfed the internet in my sleep. "Curled up", "snore", and "covered in blankets" are all traits I suppose are applicable to animals. But most of these things are universal, all creatures seek warmth and comfort. Not to include the power of suggestion, I imagine some of us developed these traits after being acquainted with furrydom. Now if you were sleep crawling, growling, trying to jump off your bed and fly, then I'd be worried. :P

I usually make a nest out of blankets and pillows and curl into it. I often have small twitches as I rest, and I usually sleep with one of my cats.
