I visit furtopia when I'm not working, and every now and then I wear a shirt with this on it

(I made it in commercial arts last year. the shirt, not the pic, that I found on the web)

Well, today at academic advising I showed the art professor my portfolio, about half of it is furry and one drawing was two naked dragon guys. She didn't seem to care  '<img'>

I'm in high school, and completely open about it... I wear my collar, but that kind of goes along with what Jaywolf said, cause I usually dress pretty gothy and it's... not something I feel like describing, so go look at the pics I posted. '<img'>

I act like an animal (you know, noises, actions, the usual) but I always have... I have a shirt with a giant pawprint on the back that says "furry" on the front.

Pretty much the only thing I won't do is wear my tail to school, mostly for fear of it getting damaged. (and that's about... the only place I won't wear it. Heh.

Yeah, I draw anthros everywhere too. And nonmorphic animals, and pawprints... I'm pretty sure if I came across another fur they'd have me figured out.

well i'm a junior at my school, i have worn my ID around my neck like as if it were on a collar, but i dont know if i can wear or tail or not because i really dont know if the school knows and calls the furry fandom a secret society so ... i have been open and told a few people here and there and shown them my art work that i have done for mono and alex but never done all that yet... ':p'  maybe im just too scared to even wear a tail to school to see what the school might say so im just prolly gona ask the principle herself some time when ever i get the chance to ask her, till then i'd just have to leave my answer near no but not quite no '<img'>

Well, growing up being schooled at home I didn't really have much reason to do much, I mean, I played around with my little brothers in furryness, but that was about it, most stuff I tried to hide basicaly in fear of my parents. Last year over the summer I came out and told my dad about it and some of the problems I had that go along with the territory. Besides my love for animals (literaly thousands of background quality picks on my computer) and the fact that I can meow better than most cats, there isn't much else I do about it really. For one thing, Snow Leopard dont wear collers, and I think even a tie feels like a leash, which drives me nuts. I do wear my belt backwards now (as if I had a tail and reason to) and keep furry backgrounds on my computer. Oh, and this summer while working I kept a rabies vaccination tag on my name tag (just incase I bite). '<img'>

I'm homeschooled too, so I try to avoid mentioning it. Mostly cause I dug my own grave when I was an anti-fur '<img'> sweet ironic justice! I have a dog collar I wear everywhere, including work. It gets a lot of attention too. I'm looking for a tail and ears, but have no idea where I'd find them.

Radioshack. Oddly enough, no one except the occasional customer and this one guy I work with have asked about it. I told my co-worker the truth...and fortunatly stopped him before he could google "furry" ''

Im typing this post at school, so im pretty comfy with being a fur. my dresscode is lax (im sitting here in a hoodie and jeans) so i could get away with ears and a tail. Its just that I dont have any, yet.

I've stopped using my little fingers, if that helps...

Other than that, there's not a whole lot I can do.

Hell, if I had tailfeathers, I'd wear 'em everywhere.

I am very open about it.  I wear a collar and tail to school.  Only problem is that my Religous Education teacher gives me funny looks and asks if I go to church, which I say no because I'm Atheist and then she pulls a face and tells me that I should convert to christainity (Sp?) or I'll go to hell.

Only other problem is at least once a week, I get asked if I S*** dogs, to which I say I'm aganst beastillity.

apart from that I'm fine with expressing my furryness in public, school so long as my parents arent there.

In school?! ...
Never. Ever. Not in public. Heck, where I live my tail would get dirty anyway :P or stolen right off my butt.

Though on Halloween I will... as the candy bearer '<img'> frighten small children

I wear dog tags, tail and a collar.  I hang around with moshers and Goths so I dont look much different on the outside.

I go on furtopia in spare time in I.t or Admin, All my folders in school computers have furry backgrounds.  I even have a proud to be furry background that comes up when I login.

I have no problem or fear with showing my furryness.  '<img'>

I have a dress code at my school otherwise I'd probably go with my tail and paws though I could probably get away with the paws.  I bark and growl at people at my school they mostly just laugh at me.

About the coyote's post...

I'll vouch for this.

His are almost as bad as mine.

But yeah; Nagoma wore a lion tail to school today. His fox-tail's in about thirty pieces, according to what he says.

I may have tailfeathers soon, thanks to Nagoma's ingenious ideas.

I wore my tail to school when I was in school, about 2 1/2 years ago before I dropped out. Of course I also wore a collar with 4 inch spikes on it and didn't own an article (still don't) of clothing that isn't covered in patches and metal studs and pyramids. But yea, I was also very openly furry and openly bisexual, Of course I didn't catch flak for it cause I went to a k-12 school with 218 students and I was WAY bigger than anybody  I went to school, not to mention that most of the kids I went to school with are Vermont Hippie Kids so they're pretty cool with just about anything.

I didnt find out about the fandom until I was finished with high school...So I didnt do anything to show that I was furry.  I though that my furry thoughts/Desires were a sign of insanity.  '' but now I know that there are thousands of others out there just like me, so I'm fine with it now.

I dont do too much to show that Im a furry now days, more or less to keep from causing trouble with family and coworkers.  but the few freinds of mine that know I'm a furry seem to be ok with it. '<img'>

I like the 'furry inside" pic above.  Ive been planning on getting a tatoo similar to that done pretty soon. '<img'>

I'm not really outward at all about it. I do show it by my affection for animals and cartoons etc (when the discussion somehow touches those), plus any of my friends who have visited my room knows that I have more plushies than an average boy. But I'm not exactly talking about how I'd love to be a toon fox or frolic around in a fursuit or anything.

I don't really have the need to be outward about it either, it's a very personal thing to me and anyone who isn't a furry themselves can't understand the big deal about it so I can't be bothered to bother. :F

i'm not that much of an extrovert about anything , i do wear a collar but i have to take it off like half the time i'm at school because of the dress code ( i got kicked out 3 days last time i was wearing it  '' ).

i haven't met anyone who even knows what furry realy means, the only people that know about furry think that its either bestiality or the stuff from the csi episode so i do jide it most of the time
I think therefore I am

I was so furry in highschool it was a wonder nobody mentioned I was one. I mean, I draw anthros all the time. I'd make videogame characters and 50% of them were non-human, and on top of that I had a series of comics staring anthros. And I drew ungulates the most and people found that a little odd that my favorite animals are deer and antelope. I've also mentioned things like that the impala was my alter-ego, had a belief that you can be an animal in heaven if you want (coming form a Christian private school), and even said once that it would be cool to have a tail in a middleschool science class. Everyone laughed and took it as a random thought heh.

So yeah, whem I look back I'd say I was pretty furry without even knowing it.

Well, I can't say that I am open in college. The thing is that if I started doing that I would just be hassled too much to want to worry about it. And I can't take that right now. I was teased as a kid and I don't need to be teased again. But I do go to sites and stuff at school '<img'> I even play Furcadia at school XD

I am proud to be a fur, and will wear my tail/ears/collar/leash all over the place. The only places I won't is school and work. But I wear them usually whenever I go out anywhere. Even to dinner outings.

My family knows Im furry, but they don't appreciate me wearing my things infront of them, so I respect them and don't. But as far as being open, few people but my close friends know....I guess I am just scared of being ridiculed again after years of it already. I might start wearing my collar to college, but that is about it.

I don't really, mostly 'cause I don't have that much furry paraphernalia to wear.

Though I might consider doing it as a one-off publicity stunt.
