Internet log files...
« on: March 05, 2006, 12:08:24 pm »
Not quite web related, but tech still the same.

I found a folder in my pc called "internet logs" and it is full of txt files and tmp files.  They seem to be just listings of 'ip's visited.  A new file seems to be created every few days.  There are also dozens of tmp files from my zone alarm, apparently doing the same thing.

My question - CAN I DELETE THESE without any ill effect?

thanks...

Everything with .tmp ending can be erased with no problem as long as you're not using it. If you are it will not allow you to erase them, so go ahead.
The .txt are generally deletable too, jus make sure what they are.
Those logs are generally for the comp to keep a register and only take space.
