Sorry for the late reply.

Seems like you'll have to start learning how to write HTML. '<img'>  W3Schools has a good tutorial. Once you have written a page, you'll need to upload it to your web directory, along with all the images it uses (background, icons, etc.). If you want one of your files to be your main page, the one people see when they visit vinvulpis.furtopia.org, you should name that file 'index.html'.

I know that many people prefer to use something more advanced than Notepad (or whatever is your favorite text editor) for creating their pages. I'm not one of them, so I can't really recommend any software. I've tried Nvu for a bit, and it seemed like a good editor to me.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask. '<img'>

With the advanced uploader, you can only write in the directory named html. (The easy uploader works in this directory by default.)

I'm sorry I am late to this vinvulpis. With the fancy indexer, your main page would be header.html and your footer would be footer.html. The indexer would be between these two. These files you would make a folder for called: css

In that folder is where you put your header and footers. Here are two examples with and without the header/footer:

No html coding

With html coding header and footer.

The HELP page on your regular indexer will have other commands you can use. These will ALL go into the css folder.

It should only show up in your FTP list. I don't see the css folder in the "category and directory list" on my own site. (For example, you can see an indexer directory here, and the css directory beneath it here. The styles.css file there is to make the background black.)

The tn folder is generated automatically, the thumbnails of your images are stored there.

Oh... one other question... sorry....  is there a way to get the lister.. like.. instead of having a background color.... to have a background image? i want to have a blue/aqua colored texture, and i no that the css works a bit different from the html coding?

oh.... and i got it to have a new color instead of white.. but when i use the "noheader" file, it takes that away and uses my window colors i have set on my computer... and ignores the styles.css file is there a way around that? its not that important really? im more concerned about the first question...

Yes, you can do that in css with:
Code Sample
body, html {
  background: url("texture.png");
}

This is assuming 'texture.png' is also in your css directory. (You can use paths and complete URLs to fetch the picture from somewhere else).

You're right. This appears to be a bug in the indexer, it removes a little too much from the page (such as the html, head, and body tags ':p' ). There's no way around that for now, I'll post another message here when it's fixed.
