I can lucid dream if I get to the point of dreaming. My best advice is to do some sort of 'reality check' whenever you wake up. If it becomes routine enough you will start to do it in your dreams too.

Once in a while I manage a lucid dream (much less then when I was a kid) ... or maybe I just don't remember them so well.  I can only remember two Furr-ish ones though, one where I was in the garden trying to pounce on my own tail (unsuccessfully) and the other was be wrapped around a sexy black cat lady ... but I won't go into detail there '<img'>

I trained myself to lucid dream when I was very young.  It's part of the reason I claim to be a lifelong fur.

I had recurring dreams of being chased by a lion and once I learned to lucid dream, I was able to turn and challenge the lion knowing that I was safely dreaming.  The lion befriended me and after that he would sometimes make appearances as a familiar.  Later on I even got to the point where I could summon the creature at will (made some nightmares VERY interesting).

Since I became active in the fandom we have merged into one character and I frequently dream (and are quite aware of it) as an anthro.

My dreams are very rigid, I have never had a dream where I can manipulate it myself.

I have had shifting dreams though, of becoming animals. '<img'>

I've never had a lucid dream, always wanted to though.
At least all my dreams are usually fun and insane (Freud would have a heyday with me '<img'> ).

I've trained myself to lucid dream really well, I can manage almost complete control (figured this out in the "I'm so slow but whats chasing me is really fast" dream when I would turn around armed to the teeth.) so all of my dreams have been really furry (and yiffy '' ) so I look forward to lights out most of the day

Had a bizarre semi-lucid dream this morning, and it was all new and with a touch of Furry to boot ... I'll do a cut-down description of the important bits, a psychologist could have a field day with this!

Myself (in Fursona form) and two of my old school friends were in a mall, except that instead of being full of stores there were fairground rides, adventure playgrounds, go karting etc.  We were queing to see the new 3 hour extended edition of Kaze Ghost Warrior, but before being admitted we had to give a sample of blood so they could check if we would have a heart attack during the showing.
While waiting for the test results we went for a walk but got lost, and ended up outside where a gigantic song & dance routine was being filmed, and everyone was dancing (we joined in but weren't very good, lol).
Next on the filming schedule was a battle sequence, only all the actors were fighting and dying for real, and we were stuck in the middle of it all.  Having survived that with only minor injuries I then got in a fight with Shredder from TMNT, however I wasn't afraid of him 'cause I had claws '<img'>

And thats when the alarm clock went off!  I know it was lucid since, despite scary / threatening situations I wasn't scared at any point, and a couple of times when the dream was going to a dead end I could 'reset' it and move on to the next thing.

Hope I get another one soon, it was fun! '<img'> Also I got to feel how having a tail helps when you're trying to climb and balance ...

How odd... I started getting into this just before I came across this thread '<img'>

Yeah, I will say that it can be mentally exhausting (especially after 4-5 nights in a row  ':dead:' ).  Still haven't quite gotten control over it yet, but the night is never boring... so far it's been like a bad game of CS every night... Oh well, can't succeed every night.

Last night, however, was one of my most interesting... I was trying to escape from some people (gang related?), wound up getting them to trust me, then I started to get some control over what was going on... I was wearing a collar and my tail (and for some reason a hat '<img'> ) , then I woke up...  Just couldn't stay asleep long enough.  The only downside is that I was extremely tired.

I'm sure the method I'm using to "train" my mind for this is questionable at best, but it's working so far  ''

Lucid dreaming is one of the most fun things there is whilst sleeping. I taught myself already how to lucid dream on demand *meditation helps that by far*. The two best things i can do in lucid dreams are make myself into my fursona *even though im already in every dream anyway*, and fly. Although flying took time to learn how to do in lucid dreaming. The only thing about lucid dreaming is that you cant alter the scenario of your dream, or at least I cant. One of my lucid dreams, i was my fursona *of course '<img'> * and there was another anthro and we were in the middle of some grassland area when a space craft slammed into the ground and a huge haloish dude came out, then the other anthro and i fought it, won, then an army of anthros ran by towards an army of humans and it got pretty graphic after that. The anthros won, but then everything went ultra bright and i woke up.

I'm pretty good about remembering dreams... I usually have 2-3 a week that I vividly remember. I even had one last night:P
I have been trying to "train" myself to lucid dream. Heh, whoever you are, furry or not, the idea seems pretty awsome. But I keep getting sidetracked with thoughts while I'm falling asleep, and I haven't had a succesfull lucid dream yet. At least not one I can remember. Oh well, practice makes perfect.

Never been able to control a dream, they always play out as if things are happening anyway, like watching a video with no input, so no lucid dreams for me. I was able to do a full astral projection, once. That was ages go and for a few seconds only but even after a couple of decades I can still remember every detail with pinsharp accuracy.

I had a dream a few nights ago which probably could have been lucid had I done some sort of reality check. Its a long story, but I dreamed going through a whole day of classes. It was kinda a let down when i discovered it was a dream.

I had a strange dream just last night that was oddly lucid, even by my standards. At any rate, I found myself in the form of a completely zoomorphic fox, a black bow tie and pair of spectacles being my only real adornment. I do not remember precisely how I came to this, but I found myself entering a Pokemon tournament on Pokemon Battle Revolution in a large, lighted stadium (don't ask- delusions of grandeur). My fox form really didn't come into play for any pratical purposes for the dream, as I was mainly focused on my next move and trying to call up numbers and statistics in my REM state. Yes, I play Pokemon in my sleep. I can't remember a play-by-play of any of the matches exactly, but I do remember that the last team I played before awakening contained an Empoleon and Gardevoir, both of which fell to my Pikachu's Volt Tackle. I received a bunch of grapes as a prize, and spent the rest of the dream being chased by people who wanted the grapes.

...I just said it was lucid, I didn't say it made sense.

Depends on the person, Wulf.  The best way is to take it slow, learn how your own subconscious works, and get used to it.  Ease into everything slowly.

Try this. Meditate, a lot, try to wake up yourself in your sleep until you feel conscious in your dream, try to fly in your dream-how i can tell if im lucid dreaming, go to sleep while thinking or contemplating something-like make up a plot and make a story in your mind off it. Thats all the ways i could think of, im sure there are other ways.

I've never been in control of my dreams (when I have them, not that often since I'm not usually in that deep sleep); I've been aware that I was dreaming and tried to wake myself up (usually in nightmares) but without prevail.

btw that whole thing that you can't die in your dreams? It's true - I've had a few nightmares that I wake up right before I hit the dirt.

oh you can die . . . you can die . . . I remember not but a week ago I dreampt I was shot in the gut, VERY VERY painful when lucid dreaming i can tell you, but I died and the pain was gone, and I was an anthro in another world. Odd heaven eh? You have a less chance of falling and waking in dreams if you can fly  '<img'>  ! Yea but hitting the ground happened to me as well.

I lucid dream every so often.  Sometimes, I leave my body - sometimes, I can shift my shape, too.  Twice I've dreamed I was a dragon - once, I shifted shape into the form, once, I just 'popped' into dragonform to fight a sea serpent.  (?)

:/ I can never remember my dreams if I even do dream. Anything that triggers that? Do you tend to dream better when tired or have energy before you sleep?
