Noises?

I know that sugar gliders click when they are happy.... but im trying to figure out what noises raccoons or sugar gliders make when they feel like sad....i've done my fair share of research and have so far found nothing..... does anyone think that they can help?

Tip: Search in a different language, it really helps. Try using a translator.

You're unlikely to find a 'sad' noise for animals that aren't domesticated since that's a pretty anthropomorphic categorization.  Fear and distress are going to be your best bets for finding 'sad' sounding vocalizations.  I found a site with some raccoon sounds:

Probably to make a convincing 'sad' sound you should combine the basic sound the animal makes with the vocal inflections and tones humans use for the emotion.
