Animal Characteristics

I have a great sense of hearing, in a certain way.  I can hear things from ALL directions, and I can hear a lot more than most people.  I can tell when a TV or monitor is on, and when someone uses those horrid dog whistles.  The directional hearing comes from the kangaroo's ability to swivel its ears in all directions.

I have somewhat large incisors (I have buck teeth in other words) much like an herbivore.  I have an uncanny taste for vegetables, such as broccoli, coliflower, and ginger root.  

I often sniff the air, and I can smell things about 2 minutes before most others notice them.  To tell you the truth, I like some smells most people don't.  Like feremones     One thing I can say I'm not completely proud of is the fact I can tell people from another from the smell of their urine  '>  which kangas also can do.  

As far as noises, I grunt, growl, and click my tounge.  I ALWAYS walk digitigrade, unless I'm standing for a long time.  I kick things unvoluntarily (this is bad) and I scratch my side like a roo would.  I also have great flexibility in my spine.

I don't know... I can hear cathode ray tube monitors when they're on too. I think its just that most people usually ignore it and they might say they dont hear anything.

Wow, I thought I was the only person weird enough to walk digitigrade! I had no Idea there were so many furs doing it.

Anyway, I can't think of too many animal characteristics I have, but I'll give it a shot.

My heraing is quite good, I can hear T.V.'s that are on when most people can't, and my vision is quite good... I have a tendoncy to snap my head around very quickly when I hear A noise that I wasn't expecting, and freeze for a second when It happens...

Hmmm... most of my animal characteristics are in my personality.  I purr if I am content or if you pet my stomache or rub my head and play w/ my hair.  I hiss if I'm mad and I had this strange thing happen to me once when I got extremely angry, I could have sworn the fur on the back of my neck stood up and I had claws b/c I hissed at and clawed the face of the person who offended me.   When I sleep I tend to curl up and wish I had a tail to wrap around me.  I love to bite and love the taste of blood.  I tend to slink when I walk and never let anyone get behind me and always watch around me.  I also rub my face against my GF when I hug her to tell her I love her.  In other words I feel very feline in my persona.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the TV thing. I can hear them in the other room when the volume is either way down or muted, when none of the rest of my family can.

- Great hearing, but mostly at pitches others can't hear.
- Heightened sense of smell
- Propensity towards meat (Vegetables are what food eats.)
- Extra-aware (It's difficult to sneak up on me)
- Always making shepherd noises (grunts, whines, woofs... a little bark at the end of my yawn)

- When people wish to show affection, it seems like they always pet or skritch my head. Utter heaven! ^_^

1. I eat raw meat
2. I growl, bite, snap, yip, and howl
3. I wake up with two inch hair(mabey fur) all over my body. Every day.
4. I have claws not fingernails.
5. I can follow scents and smells extremely well
6. I can eavesdrop on people across a large room that are whispering
7. My feet and hands are really rough(like dogs pads) and you can't cut them at all.
8. I love it when people scrith my head or behind the ears.

Is there something wrong with me???

I know I tend to make squeaky rodent-like noises whenever I'm excited or surprised or scared. One of my friends even gets a kick out of poking me when I'm least expecting it, just to get me to make those chittery squeaks. '>
I collect random "shiny" things I find on the ground like mad, and I have a habit of amassing pop-tops from the tops of soda cans... So far I've got one of those Bionicle tubes filled up to the very top, after just a year. (And I don't drink that much soda... ^_^; )
I love to be outside much more than inside, but only when the weather's cool and grey, raining or showing preferable. Thus, I don't like California all that much... I like the night much more than the day, too, and I've got definitely nocturnal sleeping patterns.
I do a lot of "bounding". I'm not a long-distance runner at ALL, but I love to dash to different places rather than walk. I NEVER walk up stairs, I don't think I even can. Instead, I bound up them two at a time, digitigrade. I also love to climb over and under things, and I'm secretly a sucker for jungle gyms and forts.
I'm also a burrower, and I can't sleep unless my face (and the rest of me) is buried under my blankets. Apparently, I've been like this since the day I was born. '> I'm much more comfortable in closed, dark spaces, and often build a little blanket tunnel at the foot of my bed to hide in when I need to think about important things, or just get away from humanity for a while.
Some other things would be odd food urges (meat, chicken, often I get HUGE urges for pomegranate. XD), hearing high-pitched things other people can't, and slightly better-than-average night vision. But then again, I like carrots... �

Hmmm, animal characteristics, eh?
The high pitched whine from my old TV and all computer monitors absolutely drives me mad, and I do tend to stop completely still when I hear an unusual noise.

I tend to love the taste of meat.. and coincidentally enough I have fairly prominant canines... but probably not as much so as the other people.. I just've always liked them. o.o
Smelling's not really my strong suit... I may know what a smell is more than most people, but my long range just ain't cut out for that!

I adore being petted, having my head scratched, or even having my back scratched.. Also, having a lap to lay my head on is really nice too!
I dont know if this is more of an animal trait, but if you lead me somewhere, I will get back.. I have an uncanny sense of navigation. Strangely enough though, I have a terrible memory. '>

-I have always been able to hear high pitched noises, despite a lifetime of shooting guns (mostly without earplugs)
-I tend to walk digigrade, and normally don't wear shoes.
-Have a tendency to jump down stairs, across puddles, etc.
-I can run at full tilt through thick woods, often jumping between fallen logs.
-Have long, mostly narrow feet that widen toward the toes, as well   as three dextrous toes on each foot, and two that move as one
-also have a strangely accurate sense of smell and a tendency to jump at sounds

I have unusual eyesight, I can see incredibly clearly in almost complete darkness, But the sun is so bright during the daytime everything appears very bright with a lot of glare,
however I don’t usually go out in the daytime anyway, I’m nocturnal and i'm only up during the day if i have to be.
I can communicate with my pet’s using only my eyes,
I walk digitigrade,
I tend to make certain noises such as growling,
I can hear high frequency sounds,
And i can hear very quite sounds.

That's about it i think.

-I walk digigrade outside and a bit inside, I especailly do it at pools, the ground is so icky xD
-I can hear monitors and t.v.s and high frequency sounds
-I have unusually sharp and pronounced canines

-I have an excellent understanding with my dogs, not quite so much with my cats though
- I can slightly move my ears to face a sound
-I yawn much like a wolf or dog would
-If I bite i'll leave a mark, or if i really do't like you i'll break the skin

-As most others seem to, I walk digigrade and without shoes
-All my life I've adored stalking through and hiding in tall grass
-I have a good sense of smell (incoming rainstorms, mice, food, etc.)
-My hearing is good, as well, and I can sometimes hear high frequencies (and constantly have phantom ears, if that counts)
-However, my eyesight isn't that good, but I've found I'm excellent with "hunting" by movement.
-Like moony, I yawn like an animal
-When I get really hot, I pant
-I've also found I growl when I'm angry, and purr a little when I'm happy
-I bite. Always have, always will.
-If you sneak up on me, I'll yreowl. Or any other unexpected things.
-What else? I tend to curl my fingers up like claws or paws.

I do most of the animalistic stuff.
walk digitigrade, scritch at  my itches, I'll grumble like a dog sometimes when I may be frustrated about something, I'll lay my chin down on the table when I'm bored or just feel like it.
I can follow a random fast-moving object for hours without a thought in my head. If there's people playing tetherball or pingpong nearby, I'm in heaven.
One other thing, When I'm fighting, I'll bite, hard, and I've shown my teeth at somebody before when I felt threatened by him.

-i tend to lay my head down over my hands like a dog does to his paws (and with my collar on, i even sound like a dog)

- I growl, bark, howl, and yip like a dog (I grew up around 6-11 dogs so I had lots of teachers)
- I bare my teeth and bite the air at people I'm annoyed with and I've been known to bite the people too if they get too close
- when with my mate I'll give friendly nips on the neck and sholders
- I wear my callar everywhere
- I scratch my iches like a dog does
- I'm fasinated with the night sky and the moon and am semi nocturnal
- I eat and drink like a dog, I swollow more than chew my food and at water fountains I lap up the water with my toung
- I can usually sense which people are decent and which are to be avoided
- I get startled at sounds I don't know and if I hear a siren I drop what I'm doing to go see what its about
- I have a great sense of direction.  You could blindfold me and drop me off somewhere I've never been and I'll find my way back
- and I love being out in nature, ex. forest, mountains, down by the river, in the woods.

Oh my...well I suppose everyone has at least one similar aspect alike certain fauna. I can't affirm anything noteworthy of myself in that degree. Though I'm very meticulous with grooming, organization and subtlety. I'm not very fond of direct attention...um with the ardent exception of my beloved.

I eat more fruit than normal
it 's not hard to find me in the tree in my backyard.
i have a great sense of smell

I tend to walk digitigrade when barefoot without realising it, I always notice and get distracted easily by objects out of the corner of my eye or dust floating through sunlight etc I also love to play with my 'prey' in games before killing them off

I have a lot of the things people here are stating:

- Keen sense of hearing: I can hear sounds other people miss like rustling that I know isn't the wind, footsteps, and I can hear the TV no matter what room it's in. It used to freak me out cuz' I could here the high pitched whine it gives even when the volume is down all the way. lol, I'm glad others have commented on that, because I really used to think I was weird.

-Sense of smell: Yep, I can smell things pretty sharply, 'specially steak...OMG yummness! I can also smell any type of smoke or gas nearby, and rain...I have a knack for smelling the rain before it comes, and usually, a long time before it comes. lol, Plus I like all those smells so, it's all good. � '>

-Animal Tendancies: Like growling, nipping, full on biting...yes, when I don't like someone I really get the lust to bit 'em... Yawning with a howl, howling, perching on things comfortably, sitting and laying in animal-like positions. Love for water, OMG! Waterness!!! lol, I just have to swim in it, or even just get wet. That must be my otter side...lol Oh and...I love to sneak up on people and animals. o.o I really like to do that. I will even crouch and get on all fours...It's like...super fun to me. lol, That alone might make me weird. �  I used to walk around digitigrade, but don't half as often now. :/ Maybe I just conformed. lol

-Alertness: It's pretty hard to sneak up on me, buuuuuuuut, that could just as much be because my brother used to really mess with me when I was younger. He used to just throw stuff at me outta' the blue and, y'know, do the whole "I'm older so I can mess with you" thing. lol, That made me very very very alert, and very very very jumpy. ^^ I used to really freak out if I saw even slight movement out of the corner of my eye, or felt the air move around me. It could just be someone walking by, or somone reaching over to hug me, but I would still get all defensive and pull back away hard. lol, I've gotten better about it though. � '> � But I'm still just as alert, which is kinda' cool in the long run. �  '>

Hm, well I'm not really like my ratties too much.
I'm partialy deaf in my right ear, due to a severe ear infection that ruptured my ear drum.
But I suppose I do carry some of there chararistics...

I tend to 'popcorn' when excited, jumping and just bouncing happily.

I need everything to be where I want it to be. My rats tend to take things )Like scraps of fabric( and move them into a corner...I move them...and they move them back.

I brux when curiouse, happy, or content. )Bruxing is grining your teeth together(

I also tend to smack things with my hand when irritated or angry. When rats are angry, or threatened they slapp there tails.

I do a few things that I've noticed recently.

I growl when I'm angry at people or just annoyed, not loud though.

I have hightened sense of smell and hearing. I've always had it since I was very little. I still listen to music extremely loud, I think music is better loud.

I chew on everything. Seriously, it drives my parents nuts. After dinner I'll take the straw out of my cup and chew on it, when im done with the straw ill move onto the lid, when im done with the lid, ill start on the cup. It seems I always have something in my mouth I am chewing on.

And, I have extemely good balance, I'm fast, and very agile.
