I like drawing on oekaki boards. They seem to be rather popular on other sites and forums. So, I was wondering if Furtopia could get an oekaki board, too? They're not very hard to get. I have one of my own for my  own website, and it didn't take too long or much effort to get it.

If you're wondering, this is an example of an oekaki board.

The oekaki boards I've drawn on haven't been actually installed. They were already self contained websites, like the example that I showed in my first post. Once the board is made, a simple link to it should be sufficient.

I THINK that you can get a free board here: Free Oekaki I simply can't recall exactly where I got my board from, but I'm pretty sure I still have the old email in my spam mail account, so I can go back and look later to see if I got mine from somewhere else. Wherever I got mine, it was quite easy to register for. There's nothing for me to maintain. I have admin power over the board in case someone makes a dirty picture, but otherwise, I don't have to worry about working on updates or anything.

Found the old email (it wasn't in the account I thought it was). Turns out I got my board from here: Oekaki BBS You'll have to run the page through a translator, though.

Nice suggestion, Midnight! I'm guessing it wouldn't take up too much space or bandwidth, although it would be yet another thing that needs to be monitored for vandals.

Once upon a time...back when there were like 15 websites on Furtopia...  
A certain Whiteshepherd created a prototype oekaki for private usage, and it was good.  Kattywampus was happy, but had just applied for a Japanese oekaki board, so she did not use the gift of oekaki granted by the Whiteshepherd.
The Furtopian Oekaki disappeared into oblivion.
The Oekaki of Wampus disappeared as well, for she didn't think to translate some of the eMail she assumed was Japanese spam.
The Wampus Cat pondered, and pondered, and thought of asking the Whiteshepherd what of his Creation.
But, lo!  And behold!  The Wampus stumbled upon a request thread very similar to one she was about to write, and so she added her request.

Actualy there IS a Furtopia Oekaki though this long lost hidden chamber in the halls of Furtopia hasn't been seen in several years.  I think I'll do a little dusting tonight and see if all the gears work.  It had some nice advanced custom features when I put it in.  Once the gears are rolling I'll most definatly put in a few updates and set Ulario up as it's Admin.

A good place to get some software for an Oekaki board, (One fortified by Waccoon, that is) is to check Waccon's site. I used his once, and if I had problems, he helped me out.
