At denfur someone was selling soft taxidermy.
First I've seen of it.  Very expensive.  Grey fox soft taxidermy was 700.

Second experiment is over. Now setting up multiple experiments to test the results. I know these tests will take a lot longer to complete. Don't want to shell out $$$ to test my results against the industry standard. So hopefully testing with what I have will do.

My latest experiment has worked better than I was hoping fore.  There are still a few more I could do but I've already invested $$$ just in experiments. And with the results I already have it would be pointless to do anymore. I"d be riding the same horse I've been on multiple times already. This LAST ( hopefully ) experiment should take 9 to possibly 18 days to complete. Ya, I'm getting nervous. I'm actually more nervous now than I was setting up the experiment that melted down right after the one that exploded. And before you ask there was nothing dangerous or explosive used in those older experiments.

Just learned that my local furcon is offering double volunteer hours to panelists. Maybe I'll offer one on my adventures with a fox and his family.

YouTube has updated their fag system. Looks like they're trying to rely less on bots and more on actual evidence. Now you can flag a vid AND leave a typed in message. I just flagged a vid for fearmongering and misuse of data. Just one more tool to use against rampid misuse and misleading videos. Way to go YouTube. Finally doing something right.

Adding to this. I have a friend who's in his 40's. Because of right wing lying about Covid and vaccines he is going to SUFFER for the rest of his life. Had there been better tools to use against this form of misinformaiton perhaps he'd be healthy now.

Sort of building on what Cause said... my brother has damaged lungs from covid almost to the point of disability. He is 42 and was a gym fanatic and healthy.  He and I are usually susceptible to same germs. I'm okay but I got vaccine.

My Co worker Rob is the one who had MASSIVE blood clots in his lungs which almost killed him.  He is still out on short term disability.  He has hiked all the 14teener mountains in Colorado and competed in 1000 mile "ultra marathons " across the USA.  He recenly did a 100 mile race above timber line here.   Only cause doctors can determine for his clots is likely covid.

Both rob brother were scared of vaccine because of media on YouTube and reddit.

Covid vaccine was based on MERS and SARS and used technology which was already used to make other vaccines.  And no steps were skipped in its approval.  It was just fast tracked. Meaning likely other programs put on hold.

My good news is that my workplace finally helped me understand what they needed me to do.

Late June sell-by date, but still wholesome! Ate a few, over the course of several days, with no ill effects!

Finally got around to repairing my lava lamp.  I found the $0.57, 4 quadrant TRIAC on Digikey to repair the lamp dimmer.  I bought a new porcelain bulb socket,  and even got a new 40W appliance bulb.  New cord wire.  All the electrics are new. Just waiting on that TRIAC.

Now... I Google the product.   Alien head,  green,  lava lamp. Turns out I have a lava lamp from the icon series.  Very rare limited production run. Vintage 1997.  Made in USA.
People are asking...  $ 500 for it!!!!!!

Then I start pricing my other "vintage" junk.
My 16" luminglas from 1995 now at $350.
My large eye of the storm static globe,  from 1984 now at $200
My lightning in a bottle plasma tube light,  about$ 130
And my magenta crackle tube lamp...$580!!!! No box!!
I can't believe this.
I'm torn.  I love these things.  They never cost that then.   My family was not wealthy when they were purchased.
Only now so since people think they are expensive.
I could make money.  But I love these things...

Did you wear your Firelight fursuit? That would be cool!!

I did Halloween in my garage as a mad scientist laboratory.  And I wore my fursuit. Boy I went all out this year.  I really put myself out there.

One little girl made my day.
She asked if I was a furry.  I proudly said yes! She was the only one who knew I was a furry!! Haha!! The adults just assumed it was an elaborate costume for the holiday.  Ha!!

She said something quietly.  I couldn't hear her.
I asked her again.  She said she loved furries!
Ahhhh!!! My life was fulfilled! Someone loved me for me! The feeling of being accepted was overwhelming.  I was tearing up, but remained composed.

I thanked her and told her she made my day and wished her a good Halloween!
I will try to post something like pictures here.  Maybe a video?? Idk.

To be honest... my life kinda sucks right now. I could use some one to tell me they care.  I'm really down.  My job sucks the big one and family doesn't care about me.  And dog is sick.  It's like no one loves me.  I'm alone and I don't like it.
I feel I'm at the end of my life. It's weird.  Like nothing is left.
Anyway,  maybe I had to much to drink.  I'm glad I don't work tomorrow. I hate that job.  But it is all I got.

I'm glad I did Halloween.  It was fun. Not sure what I will do next time.
And Firelight, Your character is pretty.  Good color scheme, and good design.

Hope you had fun and I hope you get to do that again next year!

I had several people come by in kigurumi.  One girl was a rather pretty deer.  Hmm, is she a furry?  And several as wizards/ witches.  It was cool!
One little kid was "the scream" and that was very creepy as it even scared me.

Had a routine dental exam and cleaning earlier on Tuesday this week. So far, everything looked ok and the dentist said there were no cavities.

Set up a new microwave oven this week, having brought it home a few weeks ago in anticipation of the old one failing. It's 10% more power than the old one and doesn't take up a lot more counter space.

I've been breaking down the old unit for components--taking care to discharge the HV capacitor to avoid injury. The radar unit--as I call it--contains several strong magnets. The sheet metal parts will go to recycle...or bullet bait.
