Dragonriders of Pern series?

Anybody here a fan of Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonriders of Pern" series of sci-fi stories and novels?

I wouldn't exactly say I am a fan, but rather I have been curious about them. I've never read any of the books and stories in depth, but I do have the books "Dragonsdawn" and "The Chronicles of Pern: First Fall" at home.

This is one huge sci-fi series I'd love to see made into movies or a tv series. ;)

There are a lot of works by the author for this series.
I have NOT read these, and didn't know about them prior to your post. 
When I get time, I will have to check into this more.

*ahem* Yes, this series was so awesome! I read it frequently as a teen, and it has influenced my writing a lot!

I strongly recommend it to dragon fans and scaly fans, too!  8)

Did not know of this series, but upon looking it up, it seems like something I would like. Need to add it to the list of about 10000 other works to look at/read/enjoy! (need to clone myself to get all of this done....)

I've only read one of those books. Surprising considering I love dragons. I forget what the title was but one of the main dragons was named Charanth. I always my Charizards that.
