Furry advertising gone wrong.
« on: August 09, 2010, 09:52:17 pm »
Ok, this pic isn't really furry per se, It's just a humorous model/diorama that someone did for the IPMS National Convention.
http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/v/events/National+Convention+2010/Misc/humor+017.jpg.html
........but it got me thinking: What are some real life products or situations that made you think "Furry advertising gone bad or humorous" sort of way.  :D

If the above link doesn't work, then try this one: http://www.ipmsusa3.org/gallery/d/53593-3/humor+017.jpg

The people wearing the animal suits advertising for different companies. Well this is not really furry but we tend to get mixed in with it. As bad as CSI or 1000 ways to die was for the fandom, these guys in the sweaty dirty old suits are not helping us either. Not saying all of them are bad but their are some people that really HATE them and that hatred kinda floats onto us too. Ask people what they think about these suiters and you would never want to wear a suit again =(

I am always a bit disturbed by the Skinny Cow logo. Here's a link to the site http://www.skinnycow.com/skinny_home.php

I love, love, love the ice cream sandwiches, but the cow is just disturbing to me.

Not as much gone wrong, but in the vending machines at my school, for 60 cents, you can buy little roll of mints. On occasion, I do. I didn't realize, until a friend of mine pointed the brand name and logo out to me.

I can't find a picture anywhere, but its just a little anthro-fox, leaning against the word "FOX'S".

I love Skinny Cow! I think it's a really cool anthro representation, not creepy at all. Does that make me desensitized? ...probably.

Hey, it's about time we see some skinny cows out here! :P I remember the first time I saw that on a pallet in my trailer and couldn't help but giggle a bit at it.

I don't find it disturbing at all. I was at the Bristol Renn Faire yesterday and was petting a young cow at the petting zoo for a bit. Very friendly too. Didn't care much for the green ooze on its tongue from eating alfalfa hay, but no one thought to give the poor thing a hankie to wipe her mouth off with after eating. So basically, what I'm saying is that its okay to find the hoofers attractive. You all might one day learn to love them too.

Well, everytime I see an anthro in any commercial, I just raise an eyebrow and huff. X3 I'm not much for dramatic reactions so that's as much as you'll get

I like the company mascot suit...things. The Chik-fil-a on my way home from work a while back always had a cow suit. We, my dad and I, always waved at him as we passed. You could tell he actually enjoyed it, he was good at it.  :)

Oh my gosh, I work at a Chick-Fil-A and I cannot tell you how badly I want to work in that suit. Not only would I get payed $10 an hour for doing it I would get to be in a cow suit. How awesome is that? Unfortunately they mainly have the cow suit out when I'm not scheduled to work.  :(

Awww. It would be awesome if you ever get the chance.

I admit, I even applied at one point for a job at Chuck-e-Cheese as Chuck. Despite how much I despise that place. haha
