Learning the Fur

Hey there,

This may sound daft but despite considering myself a furry I feel lack knowledge and skill.
E.g. I am not sure what a fursona is (I guessed based on my beliefs and reading)
and I cannot draw.

I would like to learn.  And be willing listen if someone is willing to teach

No, not really. There's no "qualifications" you need to be furry. A person can be furry as much or as little as they want. There's no right or wrong way to be a furry.

To me at least, there is no single definition or "meaning" of what it means to be furry. If you were to ask ten different people what furry meant to them, you'd probably get 12 different answers.  Everybody who is in the fandom is going to have a different explanation of what furry means to them. You are a furry only if you want to call yourself one. If you have a interest in animal cartoons, stories, mascot costumes, love animals, etc., then you may be a furry or wish to call yourself a fur. A person doesn't have to be furry to enjoy the furry fandom. Furtopia has had it's share of members who chose not to call themselves furs and who were here because they were curious about the fandom and wanted to learn more.

I'd be proud to call myself a furry ^^
I have for sometime.  It's just nice to give justification and assurance ^^
