An Autumn Night

(1/1)

Autumn Fire:
This is just a poem I wrote for an online poetry contest. I think it is kinda of sad as I reread it

A single golden leaf cascaded to the dying ground below,
Leaving behind a sun-filed life that was the only one it would know.
All around green turned brown in the canopy above,
Summer trying to grasp it's last days before Winter's final shove.
Yet I stand in the center of the flowing golden snow,
And realize that even in death a beauty tries to show.
Holding my hands together over my heart at the sight,
Fear no longered flooded my soul on this cool autumn night
