Question for suit makers.
« on: May 08, 2017, 06:55:05 pm »
Hello ^w^ first off thank You for taking the time to read my post.

So I've made one partial and well it didn't really turn out the best in my opinion. Can be found here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22216161/ my question is this. I am working on 3.0 and when it comes to the spots I was wondering if it was a possibility to spray them instead of stitching everyone. I found some fabric spray at Joanns but will that be ok to use?

There's really two main methods that most fursuit makers tend to use for spots. There are others, but these two are the most common:

1. Airbrushing the spots with an airbrush and appropriate fabric paints and inks that will work with fur fabric.

2. Individually sewing the spots by hand.

The trick with #1 is that you need to do your research and find appropriate paints/inks that won't fade/smear/run too much when exposed to water, sweat, etc., etc.  Of course, most paints/inks will do these things over a period of time.

This might help.
