Trump administration plans to cut protected federal lands.
« on: December 04, 2017, 12:41:09 pm »
There goes the monument lands to big business. Mining, Oil and gas. along
with Pacific fishing areas and Timber.  Is there nothing Trum and the GOP
will keep from big business interests? Millions of people each year visit
monument lands and national parks. What next? Turn the Grand Canyon
into a vast lake? Use all of Nigara falls for power? Turn the smokey mountans
into resorts areas for the rich?

I am sure thre is a lot of money to be made destroying our national
monument lands, but once gone they will just end up in ruin for our
descendants to deal with.

And it's not just the Utah monuments that may be shrinking. Some Repubs in Congress want to open up thousands of acres of land in Alaska's National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling.  :o

It appears if Big buisness wants it the GOP and Trump will give
it to them. No matter who or what it hurts.

In the future there will be less to take. I wonder if anything will
be safe if people continue to put money grubbers and con men
in government. I am sure the fat cats will protect the land around
their homes. Already they put gas wells and fracking rigs close
to regular peoples homes and land. But the business owners make
sure they don't have to look at or hear them.
