Title: Help!
Post by: Serra Belvoule on November 14, 2005, 08:37:00 am
Hi, I made my webpage on dreamweaver, and I heard I could use this program to directly upload my webpage, so I wanna know if someone has any information on this. Thanks in advance! (:
Edit: to be more specific, I want to change the main page from This one to That one. Thanks for your time. (:
(Note: does anyone actually read these?)  (:

I haven't used Dreamweaver to upload.  But have you tried FIlezilla?  http://www.furtopia.org/tools   It's free and will let you upload your website "as well" as make changes/edit files on the fly.  It's also free.

Did you put the files into the html directory? The FTP probably defaults into loading the default directory on the account, but in order to upload html files that'd be visible on the web, you need to go into the html directory itself.
Another possibility is that you're not overwriting the files that are already in the directory.

I'm sure I did overwrite them. The HTML folder? Not too sure, but almost sure I did.
I just suck at this stuff...
