Trillian and furtopia IRC

How do I use trillian to access IRC? I used to know how but Ive forgotten. Thanks.

-Create a nwe IRC connection using the connection manager.
--Server Alias: Whatever you want
--Address (second field in Trillian 3): irc.furtopia.org:6007
--Nickname: Savaaha
--Press Connect
--Click the white (IRC) dot button next to the red dot, then Join A Channel
--Type #furtopia

That's how you get to the Furtopia chatroom. '>

Kabaka's pretty much got it!

Just another suggestion that I personally use, if you always want to go into the main channel when you connect...

If you click "Change..." while changing the Furtopia server settings, or click on your Furtopia IRC connection as depicted by the white dot and go to "Connection Preferences", you'll open up a window that says "IRC - Furtopia Preferences".

Type "/join #furtopia" in the "Perform Buffer" area and check the box. Basically, this will automatically pass the "/join #furtopia" command to the server when you connect, which will put you right into the #furtopia channel.

You might be able to automatically op yourself too; I don't know what the command is for that, though.

Ah, yeah, I should have mentioned that one! I never join on connect, myself.. I just have it connect on startup, and then just join the channel when I want to talk... That's just me though. '>

For the op command, I believe it is
/mode <nickname> +o

Correct me if I'm wrong. '>

Well, on most servers the syntax is /mode #channel +o nickname

For example...

/mode #furtopia +o Scani

Oh, right... Yeah I meant that. I accidentally left out the channel. I'm used to changing modes once I'm already in the channel. Oops
