What constitutes an Important Topic to be pinned at the top of a forum? How does the staff decide what is important and what's not? Are some of the forums getting too filled up with Important Topics? How do we get members to read these topics when they pertain to rules, guidelines, and other forum stuff?

One thought I've had to get furs to notice the Important Topics more is to have the topic titles highlighted in red lettering rather than the traditional white lettering that this post is written in. The red color sort of acts like a beacon letting furs know that "Hey, this topic looks to be really important. Maybe I'd better read it.".
