Eight large Pyrex glass food storage containers with lids. That's right! I'm going back to glass. Tired of tossing plastic. I know the lids are plastic. However Seran and other cling wraps were developed to stick to glass and ceramics. When these plastic lids go bad I'll still have perfectly good containers AND a perfectly good way to seal them. These are all microwave and preheated over safe.

Seven tubes of water soluble oil pants. Two bottles of mediums to use with them. Done with being frustrated with acrylic paints.

Had to get out of the apartment today. Didn't want to be cooped up the entire Labor Day weekend being bored. So I went to a few stores to browse around and see what's new. Wasn't really looking to blow any money, but the entire GOTHAM series on Blu-ray caught my eye at Mega Media Xchange. All 5 seasons on Blu-ray for $8 each! Awesome deal!  :o :D  This is the best tv series for Batman fans. If you think you know the backstory on the Joker (and other characters), well, I got news for you. The jokes on you!  :D

Paint brushes! Because every hopeful artist needs hundreds of unused paint brushes to make their studio look like they know what their doing. :) The technique I'm learning takes softer paint brushes than the ones I have.

Soap. 32 bars of the soap I've always been able to pick up at our local walmarts. For the past three weeks all they have had was 16 rows of Dove and another 8 rows of Irish Spring. Now I've never tried Irish Spring. But Dove? I can't see washing off oil with more oil. :)  Had to order from Amazon. Our local wals is going down quicklky. Seems their running out of the supplies everyone buys. Then end up stocking the shelves with thing no one wants.

Just to show how excessively boring I am...
I purchased many resistors (electronic component) of many different values, because they were cheap, going out of stock, and were precision as well as low temperature drift.
I "need" them for ... reasons.
Thankfully, I purchased 25 each of 180 different values.  Should hold me for a while!  Now the company is out of stock of many values I bought and can't get them in for 5 months from the manufacturer, if ever!  So if you can't get Yaego 1/4W 1% 50ppm through hole metal film resistors at Digikey, that was my bad!

Please someone tear me away from my super boring life!

(Some day all this electronic junk of mine will be worth a fortune!  NOT!)

Jade, nothing boring about electronics. With me it's capacitors for custom guitar wiring.

Another few tubes of oil paint. And a few more palette knives. Use the knives for mixing paint.

A few more groceries.  Gasoline.

Front rotors and brake pads.  My jeep had such bad front brakes, they sounded like they were going to break!
Did you know, front rotors are almost $110 each!?!?!?!?  What gives?  I spent over $250 for 2 rotors and set of pads!  Is there a global rotor shortage?
I swear, how much would this have cost if I had it done at a shop?  I went fast and it took me 1.5 hours.  So at $100/hour at a dealership are we talking about $400?
No wonder people put off car repairs!  That is a whole lot of money.

Yes, Jade. Things are costing more because of supply (which is short) and demand (which is high). The pandemic has caused massive shipping delays and manufacturing problems for just about everything on the planet. Also add in the fact that places are still trying to find new people to hire.

Another antibiotic prescription for dental work. :(

Went to the library to see what they were getting rid of on clearance. Found and bought (25 cents) the 2-disc set of the animated series Road Rovers. I loved this show!  :D But the only bad part is that when it was produced, it only lasted for 13 episodes (1 season).  :'( If you don't know what Road Rovers is, check here:

More art supplies! The things you computer graphic artists don't need to think about. :) Stand oil for glazing techniques. Two types of Umber to use as natural dryers in oil paint. And I finally found a Titanium white that uses linseed instead of safflower oil. Better drying times. And speaking of drying times i just tossed an expensive tube of oil paint. Useless. After three weeks the paint was still wet. Talks to one artist about this same paint. He told me he had to toss a painting out. Still soaking wet after 47 days.
