I live a mile from PA and go there every week. I can see PA from my house and besides, this area of NJ is basicly PA anyway. 'tis a very nice looking place for being in such a not-so-nice state (though most of the NJ I've seen is reasonably nice looking).

PA is a pretty big state, where do you live? And anyway, I'm 16. My mom really hates the idea of meeting people met online, so I think it's out of the question until I'm on my own. There are a few people who live near me who I'd like to meet, like Y-Cat (posted as Eckostyle here a while back. I was the reason he was here and he was the reason I am here; I kinda unlurked).

Anyway, maybe we will meet each other sometime, who knows?

Yes, it can be dangerous meeting others that you met on-line and haven't really chatted much.

Your mother is right. What we have done when meeting new fursons is meet them at a restaurant or some other populated place. Less likely anything will happen. Though we don't mind inviting them to our place for a visit. Once you are comfortable with someone you can always meet them for movies etc.

As far as unlurking, great to have you around!

Yes, yes. I know. Eckostyle is the only person I'm really interested in meeting because I've known him for so long and we know everything about each other anyway.

If he lives near by will you folks allow him to come there for the two of you to meet? With them there of course.  :)

He lives in northern NJ, not all that close to PA. And, again, PA is a big state. I'd hope to be able to meet him at an arcade or something. There is one local to his area, maybe I'll drive up after I get my license. I'm sure my mom would understand meeting somebody whom I've known online for, by that time, 3 years. I am trusting, but I've known him long enough to know that he isn't some insane 50-year-old stalker, which is why I don't mind meeting him. Heck, he's even shown me his stuff on his school website. He's also the only person I know online who actually knows exactly what I look like (my fursona isn't far off, aside from the hair being longer and, ya know, the tail and all that). So, yeah. Y-Cat is a cool guy and I'd like to meet 'im. Yeah, 'nuff said. I don't make such close online friends very often.

Chaz, that would be great!  I'd be more than willing to drive to Hershey or another location within a few hour's distance to meet in real life with other PA furs.  I'd like to see something going on in the furdom at the state level... :)

*nods* It is easier and safer to meet up with people when you can provide your own transportation.

There are buses but they can get expensive.. ;)

To everyone in here I as well live in Pennsylvania but its kida hard to go and meet other furs cuz I live close to Harrisburg about 2 hours and 5 mins south of it on route 94 south, and I don't have my own vehicle yet, but when I do I would definity come meet other furs and do alot of things that I always wanted to do.

Uh looks like I'm a year late for this conversation, oh well. Hey, my name is Sadarius, but please call me Sadie (yes it can be a guy's name). I'm new here, well sorta. I've been on Furtopia for about 3 yrs. but this is the first time I've signed up. Wow I think it's sooo cool to see all the PA Furs together, it's like one, big, happy, furry, family. I currently live in Bloomsburg, PA the only town in PA, right on I-80. So I live about 2 hours from NJ and 4 hours from OH. I've been reading the board and I'm really gald everyone is so tight with each other. There are 2 other furs in my high school and I'll see if I can get them on too, if that's alright with everyone. I hope to meet/talk with everyone eventually.

Okay, this is finally starting to expand.  and it's about time, too.    Chaz started this thread originally because there was a serious lack off Pennfurs outside of Pittsburgh or State College.  and when there's only two of you for eight miles, and you have to go 50 miles east or west (untill now) to find a fellow fur...

we seem, however, to be scatterd all over the state in the boroughs, and always at least an hour's drive from each other.

That's alright we still are able to see each other qiucker than other furs. My dad's entire family lives on the Ney York border which is 80 miles away, and we see each other about every month. It shouldn't be hard for us to meet. We just need to specify where and when. It's still nice to know were close.

I good while bak I posted but I wanted to add tht I now have my license but here is the thing I have no vehicel (except my bike but if ur talkin about motor vehicles then I have none) so if u all PA furries want to meet up @ the McDonalds here in New Oxford or even down @ Scorazzo's (sp?) Old Mill INN would b a good place but then again if U want to meet up @ Hershey gonna have to pick a date & time and possible where to meet (if U decide on meetin @ Hershey) since Hershey is kinda big.

Well I can get to Hershey no problem. My high school National honor society is going to Hershey park in May. So I'll have a ride, if anyone wants to be there, we might be able to hook up. But I think everyone has to be with one other person... Never mind another fur is going with me so we'll go together. WHO'S IN?

Wish I could go to the Con, but I've got to work...

Anyone near Chambersburg?  I go to college there (Wilson College) and I'm sure that when I'm back there in the fall I won't mind a few visitors or road trips.  :)

okay, since I'm now the senior here in the Penn Furs (i think), I'm reactivating this a bit.  the creator of this thread, my ex, has since gotten rather busy with real life (and he'll probably kill me for playing with his thread, too :P).

Raxenoth: save me a Yeungling...i wanna taste that ;)

if anybody notices this activation again...i think I'm gonna make a general map of who's where in the state outside of the big cities.
