So, has anyone noticed personality traits and physical traits common to a single fursona species?
In example, I tend to notice that felines in the vein of housecats are gay or bi (More than even other species), are more promiscious, and have a slimmer and lankier frame.
Keep in mind that I didn't make this for any bad reason. I'm just merely curious, and starting to do a lot more research. Also, I'd prefer in-depth replies, please.

yea ive heard a few, in-facti was hoping to form a list, but it never took off.

but a few that i know are
dogs: loyal
foxes:<_< >_> ...
snow leopards: engineers, smartsy jobs
wolves: family
etc.

Well, Serg, this thread was inspired by yours. But this thread's not for joke reasons; it's for research. Serious research. Not Mythbusters research, which is serious but awesome and fun, but cold, clinical research.
I have noted the Snow Leopard traits fairly often, thought. Quite a few are intelligent and engineers, or are in similar proffessions.

Okay I see, sorry, well if I come up with any more I'll tell you.

Foxes are considered to be horny and wolves/coyotes part of a park. Hyenas and jackals to be jokesters.
I'm a dhole. Dholes are popular amongst furries for not knowing what dholes are lol

Pitbulls will fight everything why start a boxing match when you can make laugh to death
-
That's strange, Charcoal. Most pitbull furries I know tend to be more overconfident than others, but otherwise nice.
Seeing as I know you *are* a pitbull, let me add a little caveat. You cannot post stereotypes about your OWN species, unless it is a specific variant of your kind (I.E., housecats posting about tigers.)

Cats: Snarky/rude
Dragons: elitist
birds: Girls & artists
hyenas: bad guys"
horses/equines: Girly or...um...large
Snakes: untrustworthy, sneaky
raccoons: Tricksters
-
I always figured raccoons to be the more curious kind.

Wolf seems reasonable to me cause my fursona is a wolf and I am very family oriented.

Coyotes are supposed to be chasing roadrunners all the time. I have so far seen a RL coyote chase a groundhog cub with no interest in eating it. The closest thing to a roadrunner I have chased and caught was a pheasant hen into my Dad's garage at a very young age. There are YouTube videos of coyotes playing with dogs, catching fish, and mooching a sandwich from a trucker.
SW Native American folklore about the coyote regard them as tricksters and possessing magical powers. Talking to stars, dancing with stars, or asking stars for favors. They have been known to play with their food--like tossing a mouse into the air before gulping it down.

anthro Dragons like D&D, other similar board games, card games and the fantasy genre. I guess they are more likely to be geeky. (I hope I didn't offend anyone) non-anthrol dragons are usually intelligent.
-
Rabbits are usually shown eating carrots, and lettuce in cartoons, but in RL they would likely only
eat the carrot tops, Lettuces if available of course, but grass, and thin tree bark is their normal diet.

I must be the odd cat, since I'm straight, I don't obsess about my appearance (bearded redneck) and I'm pretty friendly. I am pretty quiet unless someone talks to me first though (not very social). Maybe that's why most of my friends are wolves (lone wolf type) lol.

the gay cat thing is a sterotype: http://adjectivespecies.com/2014/08/11/species-popularity-by-sex-gender-sexual-orientation/

Deer are either extraordinarily quiet and reserved, or raging jocks.
I went to the survey results at Anthrocon and learned a funfact.-"contrary to popular belief, majority of foxes are completely straight."

Probably because most furries are straight. From the link above from my previous post it shows Huskies, otters and bears have more homosexuals than heterosexuals.
-
Huskies are submissive, the ones I've seen at least. Most of the dogs are really playful and or protective.
All the house cats I've met are super playful too!

We know feral bears are large, and can be seriously aggressive. But furry ones I think are
likely cuddly and friendly.. Of course when a bear readies it's self for hibernation it does
need to gain a little weight. :)
Rabbits are generally promiscuous creatures as with any creature who is considered everyones food. But Playboy magazine likely leads some to think anthro rabbits are sex
objects.. Which we are not. We are cute lovable characters in most cartoons and stories. Though furry art and stories sometimes says otherwise..

Mice love cheese. In reality a mouse would only eat cheese if it's absolutely starving. They prefer hard food like nuts, pellets and seeds.
