I feel kinda odd posting this because im used to thinking that im the only one who thinks like this. But im usaly wrong so here goes. my drea starts of rather nice. Im a cute little skunk abought 12 feet from my hole in the ground just looking around for somthing good to eat. Then I hear dogs and feel a terror take hold. I look behind me to see a dog coming up fast behind me. So I take up my usaly defenceive stance *tail high body in a U shape so i can see behind me and take aim* But befor i can do any thing i glance foward and anuther dog that i didnt know abought is right on me. It grabs me up by the neck befor i know it and i feel the tight grip then a beaking loud snap.. Then i wake up freaked. I'v had this dream a few times. Just wandering if im not alone.

I've had a few nightmares that are furry in nature... both of feral animals or not.

I've had some where I'm a feral lioness, seperated from my pride, and come across a pack of Hyenas. Not good, you can imagine how that turns out.

I've had terrifying ones of being attacked for no reason and slain as a dragon, or a gryphon, and such things.

Even typical nightmares like falling and never stopping, but as my fursona--my wings won't work, what's going to happen to me?

I think it's natural. If you have furry dreams, surely you have nightmares, too.
Why does the eye see a thing more clearly in dreams... than the imagination when awake?

hmmm I have some nightmares (got used to them and eventually got a taste after continuous happening)  as a fur, always in them I'm a kind of wolf, depending by nightmare I had a different look, wet fur, scarred, ripped clothing, torn fur, red eyes, it all varied. In the nightmare I used to be running from something I could sense, and when I reach a certain timing of running whatever is following me materializes in front of me and I have to fight it, to death.  ''

Used to scare me so much, didn't want to do such things  ''

but now I got a kind of taste for it and whenever it happens again I just wait, and when he comes I just grab what is around me and charge  ':p'    ... is it a bad sign?  '<img'>

I can never remember my dreams. The only way I can is if after I wake up, I go back to bed, then for like the next hour, fall in and out of sleep. I guess it helps trigger my dream memory *shrugs*

But I don`t ever have that time anymore, to just lay around in bed. When I get up, i`m up, I never have any free time to stay in bed  '<img'>

Have had a few bad what could be called furry nightmares. Unfortunaly/fortunatly  the two most nasty I cant realy post
up here but found it can a little more disturbing when the dream features your chosen fursona feral or otherwise.

I had quite a disturbing one a while back.  I was a werewolf  and I basically jumped THROUGH a window at my old school and started biting as many people as I could.  We're talking really bad bites here, and if you want to know how serious it was, imagine being properly bitten by the werewolf that Hugh Jackman turns into near to the end of the Van Helsing movie.  Nasty!

I'm the same way...even on the rare chance i have a nightmare I end up changing it to make it hilarious...like one time I was falling through the air(I have a fear of falling...) and my wings weren't working for some reason, so I made the ground jello...lucid dreaming for the win!!!

Hmm, well I'd settle for a nightmare or dream. I don't know if it's because I can't remember them or because I've become too much of an expert at lucid dreaming (I'd say the latter, being I can just make anything appear when I want and stop a dream on the spot). Any time I DO have a dream or nightmare I can't stop too easily, it turns out omenous, to be a bout of precognition, or a 'lesson to be learned'.

No furry nightmares, but I have had dreams about getting attacked by a dog, usually just it latching onto my arm with its jaws and hanging on, there's no pain just a very tight sensation, and sometimes after I wake up my arm is numb

I've had a few hunting dreams lately.  The dreams I wouldn't exactly call nightmares, but they are intense enough to have similar effects upon waking, racing heart beat, breathing heavily, tossing etc.

Its odd, usually the dreams are pretty clear and sensory.  Sometimes I can feel every rock beneath my paws but whenever it rains in the dreams there is nothing.  Rain just ends up being a pretty thing to look at.

I dont have very many nightmares(or dreams, for that matter), but I do recall a few dreams where I have wings and am flying. I look normal except for the wings.

The few dreams I do remember are the ones that really stick out to me.  The one that I do remember that is furry related is one where I kill my ex-girlfriend... and eat her.  Now before you run calling me a cannibal, you gotta know the details.  I was chasing her through a little strip mall I know, (actually, it's where we first met), and then she turns into a door, which happens to be the karate studio we both used to attend (she still does, I gave up on it).  I follow in after her, and look around.  Then I hear a small "mewing" noise.  I look around, and about 10 feet away on the floor is a little cat.  You know how sometimes in dreams you just "know" stuff?  Yeah, well I knew it was her.  I leaped over to her and picker her up by the scruff of her neck.  I remember looking at her for a brief moment, and flinging her against the wall.  I don't know if I killed her or what, but I took her to the chinese food place next door, and they made some very nice General Tso's chicken, let me tell you.  I don't remember if I used chopsticks or a fork though...

I posted this on another "Dream oriented" topic, but I did have a kinda weird furry dream.  It was in the form of "You show up at school in your underwear dream" but instead of my underwear I was my fursona and... yeah... ''

I've had many furry nightmares of the Animorphs-esque kind.  Most were back when I was really into the book series and  furry the first time around (as a young teen).  I won't go into detail but it was bad juju most of the time (morphs not working right, yeerk getting into my brain, getting stuck in a morph, friends dying, etc.).

More recently, while not a nightmare, it did spook me enough to wake me up.  I had furry on the mind while going to bed, paws felt stiff so I went looking for something to claw.  Found a nice big tree so I went to claw on it, and realized that (IRL) I was clawing my pillow.  I woke myself up so I wouldn't shred mah pillow to pieces, but realized it was both a dream and phantom paws.  Kinda took me a sec to realize what was going on, but in the end, the pillow was safe from harm.

I had another odd dream last night. The place of the dream was an old camp we lived it, a road went through the middle of that camp, a few hills, a gym, house, other buildings on the other side that don't matter, etc. Well it started off that me and my two younger brothers were in our house, trying to get ready to defend it against this monster, we know it's coming and are barakading windows and doors, setting up traps, getting weapons, etc. The odd thing was though is that the whole time we're doing it in a fearful panic, not like home alone setting up for invaders, like "Oh my LORD, Jason is coming to town!" (not the mod, the killer psycho) But as we are setting up, this monster, which is like a dark, slightly more alligator like Godzilla looking thing about 8 feet tall comes crashing through my window, of course because it was huge and low, and into the house. Everyone is freaking out but I ambush it, not with weapons, but a sweet kick to the face, like a Jet Li walks through the doorway, stops, kicks over his shoulder smashing the controls to the door to let you out, kick. So I kick and stab the thing to a rather quick death. So we're all happy and such and go to tell our dad, who was not defending us, but setting up a huge trap thing made of massive thing of saw blades, like the long belt saws he uses to make boards out of trees. There's tons of them, and he's got like trap doors for the bait person to fall into, fake floors to fall in, swinging traps, all this stuff in the second floor of the gym which is wide open. We tell him that we got it, but he's kinda mad and tells us we didn't, so we go back to the house and look out the window and we see an even bigger one coming down the road. We freak and watch it, then it like jumps halfway from the road towards us and we freak and run to the gym as it starts smashing through the house. The dream left off about as we got into my dad's traps and the thing was smashing through, and I had a sneaking inclination that the traps weren't going to work as planned, for us and the monster.

The dream I had the night before was your typical New Orleans fear, getting capped in a drive by. Thing was I got shot in the head and I lived because it hit the top front of my head and exited in the eye cavern dealie next to the top of my nose bridge.

I rarely have nightmares... dreams that threaten to turn into nightmares usually get flipped around entirely by the time I wake up.  Such as in one dream, I killed and started eating my pursuer.

But there is one that would qualify I suppose, though it causes me more anger than fear.  To give you background on myself to make sense of this, I'm a therian with two phenotypes (fursonalities) golden eagle and black (melanistic) leopard.  This dream was a vision from a past life.

I'm my black leopard phenotype (feral), walking through a sparsely wooded area at dawn when I feel a sharp shooting pain in my back and hear a loud noise like a gunshot.  I smell the foul stench of gasoline fumes. Then it goes black.  I was killed by poachers at a young age.  Black doesn't make the best camouflage in the day time.

I have a birth mark in that very spot, middle of my back next to my spine.  I occasionally get sharp shooting pains there, but they don't last long.  Just enough to make me jump.

Polyphenotype Therian - Melanistic leopard and Golden Eagle.
