Adding a new font color to the drop box

Could we put in the color 'Tan' into the choices available in the color drop box? I learned through experimentation that it is available, but I have to do the php code manually each time i use it. If it was added to the drop box, that would make life easier for me.

Just use the hexadecimal color in place of the text,  "Green" (or whichever color) in the BBC.

for example, Let's say you wanted to type in this color of tan

It would look like:

There is a beige option in the color picker,  but it's too close to the norm to really tell the difference as furtopian text is not white but really an offwhite gray.

You would have to manually edit it into the forum's software... D:
Or write a SMF mod that will splice it in...

Unfortunatly I don't know how to do either of those (don't know PHP) [bet I could figure it out really easily, but still]

I've worked out how to do this after playing around (and setting up x3) a test forum on one of my NAS. I'll see if we can get it done for you

No, it's not in the drop down box yet. All you have to do to post in that color is:
(color=tan) tan (/color)
Replace Parenthesis with brackets.

Yeah, I've been using the tan code for the past couple weeks now, Just getting tired of manualling putting it in. It would make life easier if it was added to teh drop box. I'm not a programmer so what I called php code could be bbc or hexidecimal or what-ever. I just know it takes me approx 3.7 seconds longer to manually do it then if we had a drop down option. If I add up all those spent seconds for a given week it would come up to approx 1 minute and 24 seconds. I could easily use that time to get my Okapi butt up and out of this chair and pour another cup of coffee for me. Instead, my time and life is wasting away as i manually type all these strange codes into my computer and my body is going through coffee withdrawls. So take pity on the Okapi, and let me use a drop down. m'kay?

You can always quote people to see what they did.  It almost looks like whatever attribute you assign with the BBC is placed directly in the CSS color declaration.

Because red, tan, and other colors actually work in css for most browsers,  i guess it works.   ^.^

No no,  i mean CSS itself will accept some colors like red and green as a value.  It's just considered poor practice because it doesn't work in some of the older browsers.
