random recipes that taste good (Vegan) :P
« on: May 03, 2014, 03:57:27 am »
Since I'm going to be doing allot of cooking I've decided to post good recipes as I encounter them ^^

Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes:

Recipie:
http://www.egglesscooking.com/2008/12/30/vegan-chocolate-cupcakes/

Modifications:
Instead of black beans I used Borlotti beans.
Instead of prune puree I used tinned prunes
Because I used tinned prunes I used 1/4 cups less sugar
Because the tinned prunes had liquid in it I used that liquid instead of the 1/4 cups of water for step 2. (Just puree the prunes and beans together)

Verdict:
It tasted amazing! :D Better than normal chocolate cupcakes. The cupcakes also looked allot better than the image displayed for that recipe. They rose allot more.

5 Minute pancakes (everything is Vegan. So I won't bother posting vegan in brackets now)

Recipie:
http://www.food.com/recipe/5-minute-vegan-pancakes-132263

Modifications:
The baking powder is high in sodium so you don't need to add the extra salt. Too much sodium is bad but so is too little. Adjust it to your preferences

Verdict:
These tasted really good and they cooked really well. The 2 tablespoons of baking powder helped them rise allot and these pancakes tasted better than any pancakes I've made before that had egg in them.
