Russian influence during the 2016 U.S. election?
« on: January 06, 2017, 08:29:06 pm »
In the last several days, more and more news reports are coming out proclaiming that the Russians were manipulating the U.S. 2016 Presidential election for their, and Trump's, benefit. Do you agree or disagree that Russia influenced the U.S. election? What are your thoughts?

I believe they might have exposed some things Hillary/democrats have done that made people dislike them more, but unlike what most people believe they didn't hack/do anything bad in the election.

Besides I would get mad at them even if they did hack. Hillary threatens military action on Russia that would just be then avoiding a possible violent situation.

I think they did enfluence the election. According to intelligence they hacked
both the DNC and the RNC, but only made data about the Democrats available.
Also they spread disinformation, and conspiracies about Clinton.

This shows they favored Trump over Clinton. It is not their place to tell
the people of the USA who should be president. No matter who or how
good or bad the choice is.

If we let them get by with this, what next? Perhaps we should encourage
the world nations to follow Putin and have all peoples follow the Russian
way of life. A place where the leaders suppresse the news, and it's not
legal for people to demonstrate against the government. If they do they will
be arrested and thrown in prision or killed.

Yes  the democratic computers were hacked in by Russian hackers, probably the same Russian groups that tried to hack my Word Press site.  but there no proof it was the Russian Government. I think it is more like   hackers wanting to up their hacker creds.  I dare say Hillary was such a mess to begin, even before trump, with (email Scandal, Sanders, losing the millennial and minority votes)    I doubt Russia would have much effect

When various government sites--including NASA--were hacked, there was little if any outrage. The info about the media aiding Hilrod with advance notice of debate questions, of sandbagging Bernie, and the contempt of needy hispanics, of LGBT, and so on was leaked by a disgruntled Bernie supporter in the DNC IIRC. And Barkie said the Russians were no threat.
