As many furs as I know and would love to meet in person, real life has this nasty little thing called circumstance that always seems to kick me where it hurts when it comes to seeing furs offline. Whether it would be involvement in college, lack of funds, or something on the other's side, I almost always get left behind when it comes to meeting other furs. However, a friend of mine is trying to get me to go to MFM for free, with him, so mayhaps that will change... *crosses fingers and hopes for the best...*

I'd love to meet you and dark. Sure, I've got RedDragon and Dodgers, but I've knew them since I was little.

Is that any better? Dodgers and RedDragon live a few streets down from me so I already got 2 furry friends!! The thing is, Dodgers might be leaving the furdom  '<img'>  He says he's getting bored with it.

I couldn't answer the poll really, as I don't classify people into Furry and non furry groups.  People are people.  I judge by character and attitude moreso then by preference, hobbies, or memberships.  But I choose to meet people when I find them intriguing and also friendly.  And as others have mentioned for safety concerns, I never go alone if it is a first time meeting, regardless of whether they come from the internet or elsewhere, and continue to do so for a while after that.

I am the type of person that either likes you or doesn't.  My desicions are usually based on a person's attitude and mannerisms.  I try not to judge others harshly, but two things I cannot stand or abide by are stealing and lying.  Doing either of those two things to me once a friendship has been established... is a one way ticket out of my good graces perminantly.

Well, there are no furs living in the local area, There is only one person I know, who actually knows about my furryness, and thats only because i had to tell her about the fact that im a TF fan.
I guess i could stomach meeting other furs in RL, but i dont think i'll get a chance until i can leave home and get out into the world

Well, up until 3 days ago, I could safely say that I knew no other furries, and that I was relatively sure there were none in my area. However, on Monday, I met a fur at my high school. I'm still kinda excited about it. '<img'> He guessed I was a furry, and even got the species right. ':.' It's great fun to talk about furry-related stuff to a living being, as opposed to a computer monitor. '<img'>

I've spent 4 months in the back of a van working on a native project out in the Dakota's.  It's cheap but I do not recomend it for someone without lots of experience or a short term stay.

Better than sleeping in your car is get on priceline or one of the other no-tell hotel .com sites.  Grab a sleep-n-cheap room at $22/night.  You won't get the ritz at that price.  But you'll have a bed and shower which can make the diffrence between a good and a bad trip. '<img'>

I have a few close furry friends, most of whom I knew before I ever knew they were furries. I'd absolutly love to meet others, but I'm afraid my lack of driving skills, time, and shyness don't allow me to do so. Ah well...someday '<img'>

As a furry how often do you socialize with other furs and how does this interaction play into your life?  Do you wish you had more/les or is it out of your control?

I try to socialize with other furs a fair bit, however, time and money usually prevent it.  Hopefully I will get to do more travelling soon.. I need to visit a lot of furs!

Yeah, I know some furries that I would call my friends, and some that are more along the lines of acquaintances.  I have yet to meet any of my furry friends, although I would really like to.  I can have the ability to meet other furries, it's just a matter of getting money and time...  and depending on the time of year and location of the other fur, a matter of convincing my parents.    '<img'>

I know I like meeting furries with WhiteShepherd and sometimes work gets in the way of that. But, we try and have a gathering 1-2 times a month to socialize. When time/weather/money permit. '<img'>

I try to talk to furries in RL whenever I can, as I enjoy meeting new ones a lot.  The only problem, is I'm hideously shy in RL, so usually I have to have one of my current furfirends introduce me to break the ice. ':p'

This is something I had thought of before - about if I would ever want to meet a Dragon in person.  As in "RL" (as it is commonly referred to) I am just a human; I do not show my Draconity as I have learned not to from those painful experiences a few years ago.  So it has become that I only show my Dragonish side online; where I feel most comfortable.  This big separation of identities causes me great confusion, and as a result, I cannot let one life blend into the other.  So meeting a friend of DrakonianDanceR's in person would totally flip me out, as the two identities will be commingled.  Equally, I could never let one of my human's acquaintances know of DrakonianDanceR.  The point I am getting to is that I cannot meet up with any other Dragons, or furs, due to my split personalities.  Though my Dragon does sometimes wish my human to change.  I don't know how likely that is, though.

I socialise with furries a fair bit, but I wouldn't say that I'm surrounded by them. I live in a suburban city near Toronto, and will visit furry friends whenever possible, but it's not too frequently. When I get some more expendable funds under my belt, I'll be wandering out a bit more often.

I know no one in RL, I only have Furry Net Friends. Mostly due to the fact that no furries live around here. The closest ones are about 20 miles away, and I have no way of contacting them due to the fact that they don't offer anyway of contact. *rolls eyes*

I wouldn't mind knowing more, be it RL or NL. But then again why would anyone like me want a life, lol ^_^

I haven't spoken to many furs in RL, those I met were by accident from a few scribbles on a napkin that got noticed. Although when faced with new faces I become incredibly shy '' but I don't stay that way for long.

I'm probably 100 miles away from the closest fur right now, so I haven't had the opportunity to put my furry social skills to the test just yet.

Its my biggest goal in life to put on the uniform and make a bunch of furry friends though (aside from graduating from college, writing a few hundred best sellers, and doing stand-up at Carnegie Hall, of course. '<img'> ).
