Biden, Democrats, GOP, and the Pandemic.

Kobuk:
Biden is going to have to pull a miracle out of his hat if he hopes to pass his trillions worth of infrastructure and social safety net bills, plus avert a gov't shutdown, and raise the debt ceiling this week and/or next few weeks into October. The Republicans won't budge. And the Progressive and Moderate Democrats are in a stalemate.

If Biden and the Democrats fail, Trump and the Republicans are ready to pounce. And they will make the Democrats look like fools during the 2022 midterms.

Jade Sinapu:
I was afraid his spending was rather a lot, and that people would refuse to work with him.  All I know about politics is that you need to have support for your idea, or it just doesn't get far.  And pushing an idea through makes long term enemies.
I will leave the politics to those who are more qualified to discuss them.  That was my 2 cents. Out!

Kobuk:
I think at least part of the problem lies with the progressive Democrats like AOC and Sanders. They want more, more, MORE funding for their "socialist" policies and I'm willing to bet they pressured Biden for increased funding. But while they are so narrowly focused on what they want, they are neglecting to look or acknowledge the bigger picture which is that gov't must get funded and the debt ceiling raised. They are so concerned with what they want, that they are ignoring everything else.
But as I said, that's only one part of the problem, even though there are many others. I never liked AOC and Sanders. They're policies and proposals are too much.

Kobuk:
Biden and the Democrats only have 24-36 hours left to avert a gov't shutdown.
Here's where things currently stand. But, it doesn't look good. :(

Meanwhile, on Furtopia..........

Reads the latest funding bills proposed by various furs.

$500 billion for art supplies, art teaching classes, and renovations to various furry academies.
$1 trillion for infrastructure and climate upgrades and renovations to Furtopia city.
$750 billion for fursuits, fursuit supplies, and fursuit education.
$100 billion for plushies.
$1 trillion for social programs like health, food, etc. to help the smaller herbivores.
$1 trillion for upgrading and supporting furry conventions.

I'M NOT PAYING THIS! THE CARNIVORE POLITICAL PARTY WILL VOTE TO BLOCK ALL THESE FUNDING REQUESTS/BILLS!
