When you attend fur cons--what's your strategy?

For the times I had went to Anthrocon, I would generally arrive (or try to) on Thursday, the day before the con started, and leave on Sunday night. Though I think it may have been AC2012 when I arrived on Weds. instead. I don't remember.  x_x

I am attending Califur all three days this year. In years past I attended one or two days, usually on a Saturday/Sunday.  (:
