How "girly" are fem furs?
« on: April 23, 2006, 01:58:00 am »
Just wondering just how girly we fem furs really are..

Myself.. I was raised with 4 brothers, I do not wear makeup(I do paint my toenails tho), prefer jeans(usually shorts),t-shirts,and sandels. Im not really that "girly".

I do wear jewelry, usually silver or beaded earrings, silver necklaces and braclets.

I do dress up nicly for special occasions, in skirts (or a Sari).and style my hair then instead of the usual barrets and feathered bangs.

I'm more of the tomboy type myself. No skirts, make-up, or earrings for me. I don't paint my nails, nor do I let them grow out. I'll dress up for special occasions though. I'm not really girly.

I was raised with two older brothers on 3 acres of woods so all three of us would do sword fights and play with the dogs and get dirty, i WAS a tomboy but now iv shifted slightly =P

I love wearing skirts (though I hate wearing nylons, so I only do summer skirts).  I paint my nails, I do my hair, I wear pink things and nice shoes.  I won't leave the house without a little make up, if only to reduce shine/put on a little foundation.  I enjoy jewlery and bikinis.

I am not, however, much like a girl on the inside.  I am much more fact based than feeling; I would rather have action over discution.  I'm not really emotional at all, and mostly consider myself one of the guys.  I'm probably a 25%-75% mix of gay/straight, respectively.

I guess that was the long answer  '<img'>

I'm so ungirly that all my friends joke that I should've been born a male. And I believe them. '<img'> I don't wear makeup, could really care less about my hair, and rarely do I dress all girly. I'm much happier getting myself filthy by running around in the dirt than worrying about which nail I might chip today!

I'm just me. I ware make-up only at events, but I do use little kid stick on earrings on the corners of my eyes. I only use plain chap-stick. I like to ware broomstick skirts, but with vintage tee-shirts.
But I do paint my toenails, but I HATE breaking my nails. I keep them all the same length and shape, and when one gose they all have to go.
*shrugs* I ware mostly brown and earthtones, and orange.

I wear makeup but mostly because I have quite bad skin so it needs covering otherwise I probably wouldn't bother.
I prefer wearing trousers but I can wear skirts willingly, just not very often.

I would say I'm more masculine inside though, hence my fursona being male. I'm more logical and don't like small talk, I prefer to get right to the point and prefer learning by doing. I also get annoyed whenever my girly friends start squealing about makeup, jewllery, boys etc I just could care about more important things.

I'm pretty masculine but you wouldn't tell by the outside.

I'm very girly...in fact, when I have a decent sized wardrobe I'm leaving pants forever except when I'm working outside. I love putting makeup on and wearing girly stuff. n_n

Hmm, another thing to take away from my girl-ness are my habbits and hobbies. I play a LARP, where I run around in the woods, rain, sun, or snow getting filthy and role playing and fighting. I collect animal bones, and would human if it wasnt so taboo.  I like to wrestle with my mate, and also with other girls at events.
I also do some girl-ish things. I make jewlary and dance. But my mate things we match so well because I'm not fake, down to earth, not all concered with my looks. *shrugs*

Speaking for my wife, she is definitely the 'tomboy' type.
She is taller than me, and stronger than me.  She can shoot a gun, use a knife well and wrestle with the dogs.  The only time you will see her in a dress is at a dogshow.  I must admit she looks veeeeery hot in a dress - and she is also sexy in rugged attire.

Must admit, reading this thread was fun... and made me consider a male version.  You know, like how "manly" are male furs.  But fear that could turn nasty very quickly!

Actually, think this poll probably would cover it...

I actually htought about that old poll, but since this thread was opened, I thought the counterpart would be fun.

I'm a bit of both. I don't really wear make-up because it irritates my skin (which is UBER sensative) and not really a big jewelry wearer....I WILL wear my wedding ring though.

I do wear girly clothes unless I'm working though. This transition was hard, coz I used to do lots of manual labor at my old job, and t-shirts, pants and a ball cap were essential. ':p' Outside of work, I usually dress womanly, but at work and working with the horses, I wear a lot of jeans and stained up t's.

I only wear make up once in awhile, I don't really wear tight pants or girly clothes either.

I do like hand lotion and most of the things in bath and body works. I like wearing nice jewlery too, and a skirt in the summer sometimes(Even though it feels like cross dressing because I wear jeans most of the year.:p).

Most of my hobbies are "Guy" things. Video games, D&D, online RPing and other geeky things like that.

My usual attire is jeans and a baggy shirt. I try to look as androgynous as I can. <3 (Don't ask why. )

But I do dress up if the reason is right. For my social I wore a cute Victorian inspired dress. It was totally adorable. <3

I don't wear make up, jewelry or any hair things. XP My mom insists on me styling my hair but I'm like, "Bah!"
And I’ll be wearing white when I come into your kingdom,
I’m as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
I’ve never known the lovin' of a man,
But it sure felt nice when he was holding my hand.

I rarely wear pants. In fact, in the past school year, I've only worn pants maybe 10 times, if that.

I love crazy skirts and crazy tights. I'm not sure I would call myself "girly," but my dress really isn't masculine at all. I'd say I'm "artsy girly." Or something like that.

I do wear a little makeup generally everyday. Mostly eyeliner and concealer for the huge bags under my eyes due to not sleeping ever. ;_;

I'm going on a date tonight and I will be wearing jeans and my zelda tshirt.
They couldn't even talk me into a dress at my aunts wedding last year. You know a brides maid in a tshirt and jeans was a funny sight apparently.
They replaced me with someone who would wear a dress.

So yea... tom boy I guess. I do girly things like shop sometimes. But dresses and makeup are rare.
I may wear a skirt to the Ren fair this summer.

I'm a tomboy. The only makeup I ever wear is chapstick and nail polish [my one weakness!]. Jewelry is mostly earrings, but I wear a couple of rings from time to time, and I've got two necklaces I usually wear: a triquerta and my tag.

Clothes-wise, it's all jeans and T-shirts, namely Zelda T-shirts or some with witty sayings on them. Last time I 'dressed up' was a casual shirt and skirt combo for a job interview over a year ago. My hair is almost always down. At work I have to wear it up, and on some really hot days I make a ponytail, but it's usually loose.

As for shopping: if I'm shopping, it's either for anime, manga, videogames, books, or D&D stuff. I don't like shopping for clothes. Sometimes I see a shirt that I just *have* to have [my Zelda shirts come to mind]. Otherwise, clothes-shopping is a run-and-grab.

Oh, yeah... in winter, I add turtleneck sweaters to the above. Love turtlenecks. Too bad it's never anywhere near cold enough to wear them out here.

I myself am a very masculine female.

I'm so masculine, that, infact, I'm stronger than nearly all the males in my grade, refuse to wear a dress, or make up, or anything, usually wear baggy clothing, am very stubborn, rough/reckless, and am a gamer. Yay violence!

My friends, to this day, question my true gender and sexuality. XP My boyfriend believes that I'm more masculine than him, which is probably true but he's also quite feminine.

I only like shopping for 3 things: Pets, Anime, Games. I hate shopping otherwise. My attire is normally a black shirt[band or anime] and tan pants or jeans, always at least 2 sizes too big. XP

My brain is totally 90% Male. Or Maybe I'm a male born into a female body. Who knows.

Tomboy here.  Always have been, always will be.  I'm usually in a t-shirt, turtleneck, or long-sleeved t-shirt of some kind and a pair of jeans.  But being a curvy gal (and thanks to today's current styles--bleh), most of my clothing ends up being tight and I wind up looking like I'm auditioning for a hip-hop video.  '<img'>

I do like to dress up, though.  I like skirts, I wear not-too-high heels, and do wear lipstick and nail polish on occasion.  As for jewelry, I do my wedding ring, earrings and necklaces, and a sometimes a bracelet.
