The music survey
« on: February 03, 2014, 11:24:18 am »
Hey there,

After listening to Bonnie Tyler's famous 'holding out for a hero'.  I kinda wondered, is that the most epic action song ever.  I mean we were playing it on our heads while the teacher was doing articulations and annotations, etc, and it made it more interesting.  I honestly think that is the top action song ever.  But I wonder what everone else's is as well as other categories.  So for a survey (and maybe eventual competition) I want to allow everyone an opportunity to vote for 'BEST SONGS OF THE EMOTION'.  The categories are:

 - Best Action song (fight scenes, climax part of movies or highly physical/adventerous parts of films)
 - Best Romantic song (Intimate, Love and unrequited love scenes)
 - Best Music song (I'm actually going for songs that people can randomly and cheese burst into and get away with it)
 - Best Horror song (A song that can actually creep you out, if you listened to it in the dark)
 - Best Comedic song (A song to make you laugh)

There we go, our categories.

Best Actions -
Best Romance -
Best Musical -
Best Horror -
Best Comedic -

Idk if this counts but these songs aren't necessarily scene songs if you will but they're songs i can see these senarios playing out to.

Action: toss up between blow me away by breaking benjamin and disturbeds indestructible.

Romance: oddly enough i can see a romantic/ dramatic scene playing out to to breaking benjamins dance with the devil and evil angel.

Comedy: bird is the word............that is all

Musical: would either have to be rick astleys never gonna give you up or singing in the rain .

Horror: Probably has to be disturbeds into the night. and like i say get a little kid to sing twinkle twinkle little star in the right setting and you'll need. a new set of undies.

For these songs, it's less "movie scene" songs, more songs that provoke specific emotions.

Best Actions - "Cochise" by Audioslave.

Best Romance - Coldplay's "The Hardest Part"

Best Musical - Weezer's "Buddy Holly"

Best Horror - Ether "Climbing Op The Walls" by Radiohead, or "Applebite" by Soundgarden; I had a seriously awful nightmare to the later.

Best Comedic - "Paul Revere" by the Beastie Boys.
