Why doesn't the local meteorologist use the term snow flurries anymore? Is it to avoid confusion with the thick dairy treat?

Why do all animals seem to have different names for the 2 main genders?
Like Rams and Ewes
Dogs and Biotches
Fox and Vixen
Tom and Cat?
Goose and Gander
Bull and Cow
Mare and Stallion
Sow and Boar
Why not she cow, he cow, or male cow, female cow etc?
Was someone just trying to make life harder?
Were they bored with life and wanted to invent "new" useless things?
And are there she-snake and he-snake pronouns?
And where the heck did the word gosling come from? A baby goose is a baby goose.
If these are short cuts, then heaven help kids and the uninformed as they learn the world.
Why not use basic building blocks.
she,he,cow,dog, big, small
she+cow+big = she is a big cow, that big cow is a she
small+he+dog.... same ideas as above
Whomever said English was easy is crazy.
I think too much about stuff no one cares about.
