Are you a SPAM eater or not? Last time I ever had that "unidentifiable meat" :D was over 40 years ago when I was a kid. I think I preferred it fried.
But I don't eat it any more.

Yeah you could say I enjoy it. I prefer the bacon flavored SPAM most but it's all good to me. I had a friend react rather negatively once when I was fixing SPAM for myself and they saw this jellied fat that was on the meat (it's a byproduct of the cooking process since SPAM is cooked inside of a sealed can)
So just to poke fun, and because I'm a Red Dwarf fan I told them "Nothing wrong with SPAM. Full of goodness, full of vitamins, full of marrowbone jelly."
(which is a nod to Holly's remark about dog's milk)

I've never specifically had SPAM, but I've had off brand canned ham and I remember liking it as a kid.

Here's some ideas for folks if you want to add a little SPAM to your life.
Summer is coming up why not fire up the grill, get some hickory flavored SPAM and slice it lengthwise. Grill it, then cut those grilled patties in half and put them into a hotdog bun and add toppings as you like.
Dice it up into little bits and add it to a pizza with some pepperoni, hamburger and sausage.
Get you a slicer that can cut your SPAM really thin and fry it along with your breakfast. SPAM and eggs, SPAM and biscuits, bacon and SPAM.
Anything ham can do SPAM can do just as good.

never had the black peppercorn but spam, thinly sliced and added to mac and cheese is surprisingly good. So is canned tuna fish and canned chicken. I know how you feel though Kobuk, I loathe tuna fish. I hate it. And when my mom started adding it to mac and cheese i was mad and made her let me get my plate first before she ruined it with fish cause I could just imagine how awful it must have been.

After that I decided to try other combinations.
Hamburger and mac & cheese is still my favorite, canned chicken is yummy ham is okay and spam is good. Though I haven't had it with black pepper.
And then I decided to try it. Cause I always try to try new foods just to see if maybe something in my sense of feel and taste have changed that maybe now i can like something I didn't before.

I've done the mac & cheese with hamburger and I thought it was ok.
I still add tuna to mac & cheese. Used to add tabasco sauce too, but not anymore.
Never tried adding diced chicken or ham though.

To my taste buds canned chicken and canned tuna both tasted the same. I was honestly not expecting that cause like i said i hate tuna fish but added to mac it was good. Never had tabasco sauce in it and way my stomach is these days I wouldn't be able to handle it.

I love black pepper, and it adds a good spice to the sharp cheddar cheese flavor. And the spam has good taste and texture.
Honestly, I really am a dog, I eat most anything. And I enjoy it. It is rare I find food so bad I gag.

Never had this edible spam you speak of.
I sometimes get spam on my phone, but have never thought to eat any of it. (:

Well in fairness Storm Fox, I'm sure most people would consider the meat product spam to inedible as well. :D
