My species doesn't but I do.

It originally was a "cool, I like it" reason, but recently it's reminded me more and more that there is a leash tied onto me which I cannot break no matter how hard I try, and it's called being a Human '<img'>

I lost my collar last week though. It's at home SOMEWHERE but I've no idea where! *cries*

I wear a collar more as a symbol of my furriness than anything else. *shrugs* I rarely have the patience to actually explain it though.

Crows wear collars, only theirs arn't really collars and they go on the feet (jesses) ':p'. but to most, yeah they're just a symbol not so much to do with their actual species.

Hmm... Don't think hyenas wear collars very often. '<img'>

I don't have a collar, though I might get one sometime in the future.

I don't were a collar and my species normally doesn't, but there is a chance that some skunks might since skunks can be pets.

my species if (as far as we know from our discoveries mythic, as a winged anthro black panther....though aren't all anthros (as far as we know) mythic? anyways, I don't wear one, I see them as something hjolding you back, something tying you down to the place you're at.....though, for special occasions, I'd wear one.

Some have no doubt put collars onto wolves, but the species doesn't normally wear them.
Personally I don't care to wear one.
There's nothing wrong with it, but wolves are supposed to run free, not be reduced to domesticated pets (though I suppose our dogs wouldn't exist if our ancestors hadn't done so).
Anyway, wearing a collar doesn't feal right for me, but it's cool that some furs do.

I am a gryphon, and gryphons can and sometimes do wear decorative collars. However I believe they are mor likely to wear a harness bearing thier insignia and any gear they may have (wouldn't be much gear for a four legged gryphon ), I don't wear a collar but I would gladly wear such a harness. I would have to be leather, black if possible.

No collars for me, thank you. Don't like 'em, don't want one, to me they represent the loss of and a restraint or restriction on my being free.

I think a mookitty is mythic. ^^

Part cat -- if I want to wear a collar I can (although leopards in the wild don't normally have collars...)
Part cow -- Well, sometimes they have nose piercings, so I guess it'll be okay if I get one. xD

Well... As a Mystical Fox, to a certain extent, I guess it's up to me. But not even normal Foxies use collars, do they...

Not exactly sure what species and collars have to do with one another. Though, I havent really been keeping track on the lifestyles much these days. Elaboration required.

It's probably similar to why many Christians wear crosses.  Or I could be completely wrong. '<img'>

I wear a collar daily (black with metal studs); I've got three different ones in different styles depending on where I go! I've even got a "special occasion" collar I wear when I need to look semi-presentable! (Fuschia with a gold buckle!'<img'> '<img'>  I've worn collars for a while, didn't know they were being associated with furries before.

My species is an original species... err, made up, basically.  But they don't wear collars, or wouldn't.

I do.  But I would even if I wasn't a fur... so I guess I don't count. XD
