non-furry art section
« on: August 10, 2005, 01:08:39 pm »
When someone posts non-furry art it gets put in the general discussions section, where many artists miss the topic.

I was just tossing in this idea. Make a new section in the art section for non-furry art so those who do draw both can show off there non furry art as well.

good idead?... no?....... pie?

I support this idea. Since this place is a community for furries or people into the furry fandom, I doubt that the non-furry theme would dominate the site. Plus it might open the door for some who aren't good at furry art to be able to feel confident enough to give it a try. Since most of my drawing style stems from drawing humans and fantasy races (my new furry works far outnumber new works of those), so it would be nice to post some of those things when they come along too.

As a community, i've always thought it important to have a place where furries could share their art with eachother. reguardless of the medium or genre. I know ArtistsWorld will likely cover the non-furry/alternate genre art, but I for one enjoy my friends here and enjoy sharing with them.

Mmmmm.... pie.

It's at least worth bringing it up to the rest of the mods.  I'll see what they have to say.

Seeing as how I'm not that great at anatomy, I tend not to draw anything that would be considered furry or anthropomorphic so I couldn't post anything in the furry art section.

I've made some abstract/modernistic things that I'd likely post if there was a non-furry section for art. I'm sure there are others who have experimental styles that they'd share as well.

A non-furry art section could be put with some of the slower areas like photography or something.

It could be like: "General Art" - and inside have a couple sections like: "Photography" and "Non-Furry Art" and move the photography into there...

But then again, it could just flop altogether...

I'd go with the pie!
But seriusly, there are too many forums! I think we shoud first take out all the unused ones, thne think about adding some.
But I like the idea  '<img'>
