Member List Function Needs Updated

I'm pretty sure this was brought up before, but...

Since furtopia has grown so much, and the member list will likely just keep getting longer, I think the member search needs more functionality. Mainly, if it had a way of searching for members that start with a certain letter or something like that.  I used to just tell it to list them 500 at a time, but now it's getting so even that still fills several pages.

I'm not sure how difficult that would be to implement.  Also of course, I wouldn't want the member list or search to be down for too long. (I use them quite a bit)  But I do see a need for it to be improved. Even if it's just adding the capability to list something larger like 5000 at a time, or at least show more the page numbers instead of just three (Multiple Pages:: <<   [ 1 ]   2    3    ...   >>)

I don't think putting a filter would be THAT hard... still, lots of places in furtopia could use an update; so I support this idea.
Any other things updated would be good too, like the posting a new poll says you can only add 10, but now there can be upto 20; and stuff like that...
EDIT: I've seen some of this has been taken care of! Good thing!
How about giving us a cookie everytime we sign in? (pun intended)

Sort by last login date or last post date would be a good addition too, so we could see how many members are actually active.
