Well, I've always liked to roleplay, but I noticed there wasn't a forum for that under the Adult section. This means that any RPing members do here must be kept strictly non-yiffy......Which I don't necesarily see as a bad thing, I'm just saying that I, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, would appreciate a forum where roleplaying of a more mature nature could be done. Just throwing out an idea!

There has been discussion about this in the past.  Generaly a few of the members had a pretty strong resistance to the idea.

Myself I can see some good points and some bad to allowing a adult RP area.  Mainly the unbiased and watchful moderation of this forum would be my biggest concern.  I see users enjoying it.  But I wouldn't want it to generate any problems for the rest of the board.  I'll get the opinions of the rest of the staff/mods as well.  

As of right now the only way myself I would concider something like this is if it could absolutly be done without hurting or taking away from the rest of the site.  Then only after a lot of discussion with the opinions of the staff/mods then members.

I must say...about the last thing Furtopia needs is more forums.  There ought to be some condensation, not addition.

I feel I don't have any ranking to state my opinion, but I'll be watching to see what happens. My main interest is from a writers point of view... I want to see different styles and genres to make my writing better...

But..

l dont know if we need it here l dont know it just wouldnt feel right to me getting yiffy with my fellow furtopians l'm not against yiff rps l've got a couple going at the moment and its better to leave it to sites that deal with yiff

same image comes to mind with me. I figure you always have yahoo,aim,msn or even furcadia to do that if wanted [furcadia has a log system so you can save it for story purposes if needed] personally I'm against the idea fully *shrugs* like being caught with your pants down in the bathroom by your mother. I guess from what I see, there wouldn't be a great many users who would use it...though I'm sure the ones who did use it would appreciate it ^_^ unless something bad happened.

Many users I see in the adult forums likely wouldn't want to provide anyone with that kind of blackmail material on them XD or say someone gets into a disagreement with someone else and instead of handling things maturely they solve things by taking a shovel of all our collective dirt and posting it out of sheer ill intent. Even though some of the topics and comments in the general adult discussion could be used the same way. That's not really a big issue, though, if you realize anything you say there likely might come back on you, so don't partake in anything you wouldn't be comfortable with absolutely everyone on the net knowing about. And those in touchy realtionships, that goes double for you O.< If you're going to be yiffy, don't be completely deep in the closet about it all. It'll only cause you problems when stuff like the above happens.

And those types of things would be hard to moderate, too. Since people fall under many different levels of tastes, it's hard to be fair as a mod as to what stays and goes when something makes them uncomfortable or disgusts them. Since this place isn't designed for adult-themed roleplay so much as general audience use with a bit of adult discussion, mods of the needed qualifications would be hard to find...

And a little awkward with the curse-word filter still in place for those of us who get a little...colorful...with our language O.o;; Imagine seeing something like:

He takes his long **** and ****s the ***** in the ***

Yeah. Omigwadhawt ':p'

Also, what happens if you're trying to have a little scantily-clad-severed-heads-not-for-kids-ultra-violence action that has nothing to do with yiff, and then some newcomers barge in and start "gettin' it on" -.- you would likely have to make genre specific forums for that, or everyone would have to label their respective stuff and make their own set of rules. With the former...boards...boards...more boards than a lumberyard x.x Mods on strike '<img'> With the latter, mods and thread owners would probably clash and the whole thing would come tumbling down into chaos.

...well, maybe that's a dramatization, but you all get the point ':p' And that's my two cent, I guess.

I fully agree with that... There's plenty of strictly yiffy forums elsewhere... Having one here would be kinda weird - yeah, weird...
