It's a broad enough category to solicit lots of discussion. Indeed, it's a major portion of furry media, behind art and fursuiting.

So, how about it?

Am i the only one who's never heard of "pawpeteering"?  What is it?
Dragonfoxes are crafty creatures, although highly protective.  They love a good prank, prefer to be loners, and this one is highly artistic.

I've never heard of furry pawpeteering.  ''  Guess I don't browse the Internet well enough.  ''  But if anything needs to be discussed concerning construction of furry puppets, perhaps something like that could be discussed in the Fursuit forum? My thinking is that since fursuits, plushies, and puppets are all made from different fabrics, furs, and other materials, then they can all be discussed in the Fursuit forum. If Furry Pawpeteering falls into some other forum, then I'm not even sure which one it would be classified under. ':goldarou:'

There are a few furs here who are into or are wanting to get into pawpets, so feel free to start a post about them in the fursuiting forum for now. If there is enough interest and the threads stay busy enough then we can concider adding another forum for them in the future.

Myself, I'm curious enough about them to do a little more research on them and maybe try building a few.

It was a big thing at MFM. Furs were walking around with thier puppets, not just at the puppet show either.

I'm amazed that there's so many here that haven't even heard of puppeteering in the fandom. The Orlando furs have put on the Funday Pawpet Show for...what, 6 years now? They've been GoH's at cons, tour all over America, and did con shows for years. Most cons have a puppet track. I guess you have to be con-centric (ha, pun!) to really see their visibility.

Here's a link to Funday: http://pawpet.tv/

Would that fit in the fursuiting section? I mean, It would save space.

I agree that pawpets are similar to fursuits in that they are usually hand made plush puppets but the puppet show style of performance is different.  If someone wanted to discuss storyline ideas for a performance in order to get comments that wouldn't belong in fursuiting.  It's different enough to want a section.

Ok, ok... point taken;  I just suggested the use of actual forums because there are already a lot of them.
