Well, I've been wondering for a while if it may be posble to get a "spoiler" tag. It could be practical to make some big post or secretive post less... um.. big?
Example of spoiler tag is in the first post. Click on "show"
I ate a bag of grapes and now I own the world.

What about doing this?

Code Sample
your spoiler message here

So then what you do is you have to highlight it to see what it is.

Example

Spoiler below :
as you can see , you can only read this after highlighting it

I suppose......  *sigh*
Spolier tag would be nicer, though. Imagine you have a really bug piece of text, or an image you can't put in black to be higlighted, then the tags would prove more useful... I think.

Heh, I had a feeling that link would lead there.  '<img'>

Although I don't think spoiler tags are completely necessary, one advantage they do have over black text is that they are collapsible. Meaning that they are useful for long sections of the post that not everyone may be interested in. (something that black text would not help with)

I'm not sure how difficult something like that would be to implement. But I would take the search function we have here over that any day. (the search function on that site you linked to is almost always down it seems.)

Of course, I could see something like spoiler tags being over used, but then the same is true of the quote feature. (quotes in quotes in quotes...)

Oh, something else about the black text method:

As you can see, it is readable without highlighting. (maybe a bit hard to see, but it is readable unless your screen is too dark.)
