Version 2.0 Rules or Rules F.A.Q.

In the last several weeks/months, there has been some very hot and debateable threads/posts about the rules policies governing the usage of the forums and of Furtopia as a whole. With all the talk and changes that have been going on, I'd like to suggest the following:

a) That the current Furtopia General Posting Guidelines which are located here:
http://cgi.furtopia.org/cgi-bin/ib311/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=230
.......be upgraded to a Version 2.0 status to take effect of all the new current rulings.

OR......

b) Eliminate the current forum posting guidelines as indicated above and instead create some type of new forum/section called the Furtopia Rules F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) where questions are asked about the rules and answers are given as follows:

Question: What constitutes foul and abusive language? What swear words are not allowed?

Answer: (Mods post answer here.)

Question: What do the little x's under the avatars mean? How do they go away? Etc., etc.

Answer: (Mods post answers here.)

..........and so forth, etc., etc., etc. for any and all questions that would pertain to the rules governing Furtopia.

What do you think? Comments, questions, suggestions?

sounds like an alright idea to me, though there will still be the problem of whether the new members read them or not...

I agree with that. Rules could use an upgrade. Problem is -IMHO- that mods have already lot to do as it is.... What about if we gave a hand?

Serra: Although your idea of having the members help out with the rules is a nice thought, I'm afraid the mods/staff will have to be the ones who would modify/rewrite the rules as they're the ones who have more insight, knowledge, and access to the "behind-the-scenes" inner workings of Furtopia than what the members would.

We're not ignoring this thread- this is a subject that we've been in discussion on for a while now and are continuing to work on in between other duties  '>
