Just something I've noticed lately. I'd like to make a suggestion to the staff that there be an amendment to the General Posting Guidelines as to when members post pictures in their threads/posts and that they have a size limit to them. I'm not talking about avatars or sig pictures as those already have size limits. I'm mainly talking about other pics that are posted in the Photography forum, Fursuit forum, or any other forum where the pic is so large that myself or other members have to continually use the left/right scroll bar and the up/down scroll bar just to see the whole pic. The larger the pic, then the more server space it takes up, and the harder it is for furs with dial-up to download it.

We do need it stated in the rules about this. If pics are 700 pixels and less I will usually not linkify them, larger than that, definatly needs a link. If you do not have a way to resize you can always PIM me and Ill be glad to help.

If there's a pic that I think is too large when I post, then I generally just link it. Generally though, I tend to just link everything. It's that much easier.  '<img'>

I've found 375 x 500 to be about the largest size you can use without forcing sidescrolling on those at resolutions set to 600 x 800 or better, so that's what I size all mine at. I have a feeling that many see the pictures on thier computer already resized by thier OS and don't realize that when they post it that it will go fullsized- many also don't know how to resize or have a program that can do so.

It does make it a pain for us dail-upers and a size limit would be a nice addition to the rules.

It would also be nice to remind folks to REMOVE the pictures when quoting past links.  Gets real tiring seeing the same pix over and over as folks quote and reqoute and reqoute.... etc.

my full art pictures are usually 700 pixels at the widest leangth sketches and smaller pictures usually are dropped to 500.
I would suggest that for maximum. 700 pixels for more detailed and sketches and doodles around 500
