Well I've been thinking over the past few days and I came up with an idea. This involves what I call the "Annual Furry Awards"

This is where every year (at a set date) furs are nominated by others (although not themselves of course) into several categories of awards. These categories would include:

- Artist of the year
- Helping hand (most helpful in the Life and Problems topic)
- Most Active member
- Mr/Ms Popular (just any random person who gets the most votes)

and so on. I don't have many categories thought up at the moment but more should come with time.

Basically everyone will get a certain time to nominate a fur (maybe 1 or 2 weeks) and then they will be polled and voted on. Maybe artists will offer free commissions for award winners or just something special...

There was actually an idea very similar to this a few months ago. I don't remember the exact reason but for one reason or another it isn't going to happen.

Hate to rain on your parade, but I don't think this idea will work either. I too, also remember similiar topics in the past that did not get made/posted. I could be wrong, but I believe it amounted to favoritism as the reason why these sorts of topics were never done.

Yeah someone proposed something like this a few months ago.  I don't personally see an issue with it and think it would be fun, there are CERTAINLY furs on this board that truely stand out and probably deserve a little extra recognition!

But I can understand the potential problems it could cause.  As was said.. it probably won't happen..

Being honest, I think that having a contest of sorts would encourage spam...
And no one likes spam!
At least I don't
So I have to say I don't like the idea.
