RP Discussion Forum?

Should there be a subsection for OOC discussions in that forum.

I don't think such a section would get very much traffic, honestly; it seems like the current default (OOC posts within ongoing threads) is working fine and isn't overly intrusive.

If you want to have a really in-depth public discussion about an RP, though, you're free to create an OOC thread on the RP board. There's nothing in the rules against that.

Actually you'd be surpised. RP discussions are seperate on another forum I go on. The main idea is it doesn't disrupt the main RP thread.

They aren't actually in a seperate forum however. Just a seperate thread. Each has to have the tag OOC or RPG and be easily linked together (Usually they use the same title).

While a seperate area isn't needed perhaps a system like that might work if RP's think it's needed.

What I mean is that there is a sub section in forum where OOC discussions go.

On another forum there is a seperate subsection called:

Role Play Discussion
Discussion of specific role plays (to minimize OOC conversations within topics)

That's what I specifically mean.


I personally think that an OOC section would avoid the problem of actual RPs pushing the discussion threads down to the bottom of the page.

Would what you're suggesting be kinda like a sub-forum where RP tactics, character development and generation, plot development, etc. be discussed? In other words, it might be like how the "Artwork Techniques" forum is, where members can ask questions and get help on how to start and develop RP's?

Something like that.

I can see two uses: a "RP help desk" and for discussions referring to a specific RP.
