Flight of the great white dragon

I just did a quickie to get myself back into photoshop coloring after a rather nasty breakdown of my computer.  I pretty much needed an exorcist to fix it.

I really like it too, Ulario! I especially like the transparency of the wings! Good job.

This one's still a work in progress sketch, but I don't remember the last time that I spent so much time on a drawing... and I decided to show it off just in case I somehow fudged it up.

An Evening Out - Sketch

Heck, I don't even remember the last time that I used three-point perspective in a background.  Pain in the tail if you ask me.  I guess those college classes are finally paying off :P

I'm thinking about adding a design to the wall:  maybe make it look like marble... and possible adding carvings onto the seat.

Any suggestions are welcome.   (:

ooo.. I love transperant wings.  (:

And that sketch -does- look involved. I hope it turns out.

For some reason I keep envisioning that wall as stone blocks. *shrugs*

Ya know, I was thinking of that... but I don't know how well it would fit because it's in a fine-dining resturant.

I think it's the tables that give that idea... the booths give it an old english taverny feel. In a fine restaurant I would expect to see fancy tables and chairs with pristine table cloths and a small vase with flowers next to a candle.

But it's art and it's what we make of it. Marble still may work out very well... maybe white marble?

I know what you mean by the taverny feel.  :)

Actually, the background (with exception of the carpet) is strongly based by a semi-fine-dining resturant that I went to in Chicago.... Catch 35 I think was the name of it.  It wasn't one of those $50-a-plate resturants... but it was still a lot nicer then any of the places that are around where I live... with exception of that Japanese Steak House.

The Fox Gryphon

I've seen several people draw gryffoxes, so I decided to draw one too.  :)

Photoshop, actually.  I have PSP, but I only use it for a few effects here and there.  I prefer photoshop because it's a bit more refined then PSP.

Nice! I love the spots on your Gryffox (biased) hehe. And I particularly like how you did the hands and forearms.

I always found it difficult to get a beak on a un-bird-like head like that. You did it nicely.

RE: PSP & Photoshop. I had both and I found PSP to be more intuitive and a little easier to learn how to use than Photoshop. Photoshop, however, is far more capable of producing results. There are courses online and off on how to use Photoshop to it full potential, but most charge.

Hmmm... that surprises me.  I thought you'd be one of the first ones to see it since I announced the release of my comic on the forum.

The Resting Drummer

Decatur, Faethe's drummer takes a well earned break during a pre-performance audio check.

I decided to give him his own picture because to me, drummers are the "hidden jewel" of a rock band - they don't get nearly enough attention as they should.

Plus, he's cute... and his tattoos kick butt.  :D

Whelp, I have to take my laptop to the store this weekend to give it a check-up before the warranty runs out.  It's the only computer with Photoshop on it, so I may not have any new finished work between a week and a month.  Grrr.

I'll try and get some sketches/inked stuff up whenever I can, though.

The Black Guardian

The guardian of the black dragons, a dwarven clan set deep in the mountains, perches on top of a large column.

Trying to get a few more pics colored before I take my computer to get it fixed.

Confession of Feelings

One of those rare times that I do fan art.

I've been obsessed with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the last month. I decided to draw a pict of Alora, my female Character who ended up falling in love with Carth Onasi, one of the other people in my party.

I guess I just imagined the scene where he confessed his feelings for her to be a bit different then the game showed. We were on Manaan when it happened.

I'm almost a bit jealous since Carth is extremely sexy (or at least I think so). It was my first time drawing facial hair on an human male.

May do a pict of my male character later.

Kyjja

A freebie commission done for my mate since I wanted to practice both humans and Sci-Fi stuff.  It's his Earth and Beyond Character, Kyjja.  For those of you who don't know what E&B is, it's a online roleplaying universe like Star Wars Galaxies.

I have to make fun of the guy... since I think he looks like a 70s pimp.  :D :D :D

I love the white dragon...and especially how you made its wings kind of tranparent. I dont really see many people doing that.

They are all really cool! Drawing peoples faces etc., that is tough so that is why I only draw animal heads. (giggles)

Yah, humans are a pain... but for me, learning to draw them is a must.  I have a feeling that I'm going to be drawing quite a few of them in the future.   (:

Anyhoo, I've been trying to do more fantasy/sci-fi then furry lately.  Mainly because I feel I need the practice - since right now I'm drawing furries with almost no problem.

What I need now are some new challenging poses for furs.

Use your imagination. Watch some tv and check out how the folks move about. Some times you can come up with some interesting ideas that way. Look for things on the internet.

Since you want to do more fantasy/sci-fi types look on-line and get some ideas that way too. Or just imagine weird positions then see if you can pull them off on paper so that they would look natural for the species. (smiles)

I'm trying to do more angles than the normal profiles I normally do. I'm also trying to realize I don't have to create the whole fursona or fill the page up. Things I'm not used to but trying to teach myself.

Good luck and wait to see more works from you! (smiles)

I'm very tempted to do more Star Wars themed art.  I think my mate wants me to draw Alora in a gold bikini like Princess Leia wore.  (Too bad for him :P)

A Gryphon in New York City

Ulario poses in Central Park (Strawberry Fields to be more exact).

I was able to gain access to a computer for a few hours to do this pict.

I did this picture to auction off on Furbid to raise money for my trip to New York.

My first real cityscape in a picture. I pieced the BG together from a fiew pictures so I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Khaos - In Watercolor

A paid commission done for Khaos.  I can't seem to find a scanner that actually likes watercolor.  :(

The colors on the original are much lighter and smoother, like a child's storybook... and the sword is actually metallic silver.

Lots of new piccies... and more on the way... hopefully before my vacation.

Tribal Drakonian

A quickie done to try and get used to my new computer.

The Flying Musician

Myeko, Faethe's Frontman, soars over a crowd of fans at a concert.  :)

Myeko is sooo sexy.  If I didn't have a mate, and he didn't have a girlfriend, I'd go after him in a second!

More trying to get used to my computer.

Phoenix Magick

Hellfire conjures up a phoenix made of flame.

Finally used to that computer.  :)

Marcus Draconis

A piece of gift art for Rich, one of my college buddies.  It's one of his D&D characters.

Anthro Quaker

An anthro quaker parrot sits by a waterfall.  I love the interesting coloring that these birds have.  And for the record, my pet parrot is a quaker - though my parrot is a boy.

An Evening Out

Ulario and her mate, Tetra enjoy an evening out.

Jedi-Dance

Alora Skye, my KOTOR character.  I may do more KOTOR fan art in the future.  :)

Pinball Wizard

Alexander plays a game of pinball (For the record, he is a bighorn sheep... not a dragon.  For some reason some people thought he was a dragon).  Anyways, my boyfriend loves this one because he says Alex is "concentrating".

Anyways, he's fun to draw.  I may do more picts of Alex in the future.  Maybe playing his guitar.

Love ALL of them, Ulario!

(giggles) This one is the one that gave me the idea for the pic I did for you on our trade, "The Flying Musician".

And this is the one that gave me the idea to put you and your mate in the piece as well! "An Evening Out"
