Quite right, actually.
Just wore it out (barely, but out nonetheless). I had it on when I went to pick up some take-out. I forgot who said it, but the first few steps are hard (I was actually shaking a bit). Then I realized that I was still standing and there was no angry mob out to get me, so I rolled with it. It was nice; pretty crowded, mostly families with their kids eating dinner. Couple stares, some smiles, but for the most part no one really noticed (except for at least one family inside a restaurant. And if seeing something like that isn't a conversation starter, then I just don't know what is). It was actually kinda fun.
Of course, I walked all of 100 feet from my car to the restaurant and back, so it's basically the equivallent of dipping your toe in the pool before you get it. But I'm donating blood on Monday, I guess I'll wear it to that (I realize now the worst that'll probably happen is I'll have to sit right on it for a half an hour; hope it can last).
Side note: It took about 5 minutes to get into the car, because I had to find a way to sit down, reach the gearshift, and give me tail a place to sit. It's kinda complicated in practice
