Furry webcomics that you read
« on: May 09, 2010, 12:32:02 am »
Which furry webcomics (or printed comics) do you guys read? I started this thread because I only read two and I want to get to know a few more. I myself read TwoKinds and Wrongside, currently.

This thread is almost two years old, but you might be able to find some recommendations in there.

Furry comics I read regularly:
http://www.liondogworks.com/fur-piled.html - Fur-Piled
http://furthiahigh.concessioncomic.com/ - Furthia High
http://www.pholph.com/ - Jack (NSFW 18+)
http://www.lackadaisycats.com/ - Lackadaisy
http://www.rainedog.com/ - Raine Dog (a somewhat new furry-type project from the creator of Ozy and Millie)

Animal-people comics I read regularly that claim they aren't furry, but WE KNOW THE TRUTH:
http://www.achewood.com/ - Achewood (NSFW 18+)
http://www.daisyowl.com/ - Daisy Owl
http://www.qwantz.com/ - Dinosaur Comics

Until just recently, I didn't strictly read any "furry" comics, unless you count VGcats...I don't really.

A few weeks ago, I caught wind of "faux pas", so I read through the archive in 2 days, and I want more :D!

TCD, a few days ago, introduced me to JACK 18+, which I've been reading.  Very dark, Very gritty, not forum approriate.

I've been looking into some more, so it would be nice if somebody were to talk about various webcomkics they read :D

I read:

Kevin and Kell http://www.kevinandkell.com
Precocious: http://www.precociouscomic.com/
Housepets: http://www.housepetscomic.com/
Furry Experience: http://furryexperience.smackjeeves.com/
Catena: http://catenamanor.com/

Comics that aren't really furry but have some anthro characters in them:
Sinfest: http://www.sinfest.net (adult references)
Weesh: http://www.weeshcomic.com/
Slightly Damned: http://raizap.com/sdamned/index.php (maybe adult references)

I keep up with the following:

Panthera Comic
The-Whiteboard
2 Kinds NSFW 18+
Faux Pas
Original Life
Jack NSFW 18+
Freefall
Sandusky
Concession NSFW 18+
Furthia High
Catena Manor
Tales from the Mynarski Forest
Sabrina Online PG-13
Little Tales
FW Adventures
Bear Nuts
Generation 17 NSFW 18+
Paradigm Shift
Babe in the Woods
Sergom
White Noise

Discontinued:
Better Days NSFW 18+ (continued as Original Life)
Fur Will Fly
Coming Up Violet (continuation of Fur Will Fly, was good while it lasted)
Black Tapestries PG-13

Ones I don't follow anymore:
Dan and Mab's The focus of this comic went in wonky directions, seemed like the comic tried too hard to tend pander to the wants and needs of every basement-dwelling furry that sent them an email.  For my taste, there were too many things going on at once for the storyline to really be compelling enough to try and follow.
VG Cats I don't-not follow this, I do check it occasionally, but I don't guess I brought into the ZOMGVGKATSAREAWESOMENOWAI hype.  The artist is a bit disconcerted by furries anyway, so no fur off my back :3

*edit* left out Sabrina and The Whiteboard and Mynarsky Forest... (I should start writing them down again >.< )
*edit1* bored, figured I'd include some I don't follow anymore, left out blacktapestries

Just a friendly reminder that if any of the comics you link to contain adult material, you should mark that in your post. :)

I've gone back and edited my own post accordingly.

Let's see.

- Concession http://concessioncomic.com/index.php (18+ NSFW)
- Furthia High http://furthiahigh.concessioncomic.com/
- Housepets! http://www.housepetscomic.com/

I used to follow VGCats as well, but he hardly updates anymore (In fact I think Super Effective gets more updates.)
Kemono Party > Furry and kemono fan realists who would rather embrace random and cuteness over being drama-queen furries, furry vs furry bashing or a furry who tries too hard. :3

Bittersweet candy bowl - http://www.bittersweetcandybowl.com/c1/p1.html
I put it on page 1 so you can start reading it. It's PG-13 rated. I love it, it's lighthearted at first but then the "bitter" in bittersweet comes into play.

I also read VGcats, and that's pretty much it.
Hey, you! Yes, you, especially you, Stephen, listen here. I follow some of the usual ones, such as:

Lackadaisy
Daisy Owl
Housepets
Sequential Art
Alien Loves Predator (NSFW) (dunno if this one is really Furry)

As well as some of the smaller ones (some of which don't run anymore):

Weird Looking People Falling Down for No Reason (Again, may not exactly be Furry. Definitely not human, though)
Closet Coon (NSFW)
Badly Drawn Kitties
Staccato

Well the ones i read/ have read have already been mentioned, but I will give a second vote to Original Life, and it's discontinued predecesor Better Days. I used to read Jack, but it got really wierd for awhile and I stopped. I have heard it got better again and have been thinking about catching up, but havent gotten around to it yet.

i dunno if anyone has said this yet... but "Circles" changed the way i view other people (as well as myself) for the rest of my life. i adore it. it occasionally goes a bit PG13 but never anything graphic.

i highly recommend it for any furrs who're having trouble with their sexuality
just your average self-effacing, herbivorous predator

Precocious: http://www.precociouscomic.com/

Oh yeah, I've read some of that too.

I love it. The art is adorable and it's actually pretty funny.

Underling -NSFW 18+  Not quite "Furry" but there are some cat people in it.

EDIT: Coming up Violet can now be found here. I'd rate it about PG.

The only furry-related comic I read anymore is VG Cats, and that's really more a Penny Arcade-style gaming comic anyway, and even that is beginning to lose my interest due to it's increase in filibusters and unfunny jokes.
Far too many furry comics lose my interest because they just love to drop moral messages with the force of a thousand anvils, often at the expense of important stuff like plot.  I'm not saying moral messages are bad, but if they're detrimental to the plot then you've got a problem.

Have you tried Fletcher Apts? It's pretty darn funny. How about 2Kinds?

I just spent the past 2 nights sitting at my computer.

I started reading Better days, got 16 chapters in, and realized I hadn't moved since I sat down, and that 4 hours have gone by.  Same thing happened last night, but I finished it.  Original life is next.

I'm reading Raine Dog now..I really like it :3

I like Raine Dog too, but I'm not entirely sure what's happening with it now. There have barely been any updates for months and months.

Welcome to Keenspot Arbutus  :P

Speaking of Keenspot, This comic isn't what one would consider furry, though a sheep is one of the main characters..Well, actually, there ARE only 3 characters in the whole comic!

http://countyoursheep.keenspot.com/d/20030611.html

(the art gets much better as time goes on)
