First I bought a 16 inch chain for my electric chain saw. It didn't fit. So I had to go and buy a new electric chain saw. Weighs twice as much and has three times the power. I know gas saws have more power. But I'd have to keep a gas can for a two stroke engine. For as little as I'd use a chain saw that gas would go bad before I'd use it.

Hi Cause,
I also bought a 16" chainsaw last week when a tree blew down.  It is electric.  It cut up about maybe 600lbs of dry aspen wood in about 2 hours , and into 1' chunks some which were over 24" diameter.
It is light, fast, no fiddling with fuel/oil and maintenance.  Cheaper too.  When it is off, it is off, no idling so it is safe quickly.  It plugs in so I do not get obsoleted about batteries, nor does it "sag" in power.  I plug it in using a 10gauge 25' extension cord.  The saw has essentially the full 12-14 amps so well over 2HP peak.  People underestimate electric, or use thin long extension cords which lose power.  OR they use battery ones and maybe have issues there.  Society has forgotten virtues of plug in the wall things.   And I will only use the saw for pruning my pines.  And FYI if you prune a live tree, use vegetable oil, not petroleum, it can harm the tree.  You can use heavy vegetable oil like corn.  This is also environmentally safe so pets can be where the wood was cut.  Wanda ate some shavings... dang dog.

Anyway...
Last thing I bought was elastic cord, thin open cell foam sheet, and some wispy faux fur.  I am making a dead-cat/blimp microphone .  It is a microphone capsule held in a springy mount cage thing, covered by either faux fur or thin foam to keep out the wind noise The springy mount is to remove most of the noise caused by shaking/hitting it.  I may use this thing in a more furry device coming up.  Interested?
The faux fur was not ideal, and I really want a fur with rather open backing, thin light weight backing at that, with 1 to 1.5" long fur that is NOT dense.  This would mean... cheap-ish stuff...  I will try again.  At the store they had a pillow that had some of this type of fur on it, and it was probably better for my application.
Why not buy this thing premade?
Glad you asked.

They cost over $200 in some cases, and all are too large for what I have in mind.

Now how can i bend some hard plastic into a parabolic dog-ear shape???

Hi Jade. My 16 inch Poland is 3.8 amp wile the 18 Dewalt is only 2.8. However the 18 inch chain saw cut twice as fast and was way easier to handle than the 16 inch saw. Weight wise the 18 inch saw is almost twice has heavy has the 16 inch. I"m guessing amps aren't the hole story. Torque matters more. Both saws are great for what I needed to do. I'll sharpen both blades and hopefully never have to use them again. :)

A Peterson Strobe tuner. Be a very big upgrade from what I've been using. Will help be set up the intonation ( how in tune a guitar is by setting up the bridge saddles for each string ). The more accurate this is the better the guitar will sound. Going to be working on a friends guitar next week. First I'll adjust the neck. Then the intonation. Then the guitar has either some faulty wiring or needs a new volume knob. I'll fix that as well.  Going to using this new tuner on all my guitars as well. Really need it for the ones I've built.

A large media cabinet (Blu-ray, DVD, etc.) from a furniture resale shop for $20. Hardly anything wrong with it and in very good condition too.

A box of 100 small latex gloves. Been using a box of 'one size fit's most' from Walmarts. They do not fit me at all. Using them when painting the studies I'm doing now. These gloves are almost an inch to long. They get in the way when I wipe excess paint off a brush, when I clean off a palette knife and even get into the paint that's on my palette. I spend a lot of time trying to keep these oversized gloves clean. Think I'll try taping the fingers back for now.

A 2022 Chevy Trax. Yep, My second car this year. The fist one the transmission tore itself apart. Took a month and a half to get it fixed. Had if for about a week and the trans started acting up again. Had an appointment at 9:00 AM this morning to get it looked at. Told them I was done with that car and traded it in.

A tube of Cerulean Blue oil paint. This is a lighter blue color. Trying to mix colors without, or using as little as possible, white paint. This is hands down the most toxic tube of paint I own. Definitely don't want to get this stuff anywhere on me.

Bought a few more paints. it's a case of "You can't get there from here" when it comes to pigments. There's no true of any color. It's either 'warm' or 'cool'. Be a long explanation. Anyway when I reviewed my order there's an extra tube of paint included. My first thought was "I did not order that". Then I realized for the first time ever they actually sent me an advertised promo deal. Early Christmas present!  Also bought stuff to make 6 or more different kinds of cookies, a cake, most of the stuff for the lasagna and one side dish for Christmas.
